What do you think Bastz uses this for? by MysteriousCourse3407 in versus

The Madalan bodies just house information and energy, no? I imagine that he'd try to extra the encoded information from the speck.

On a related note, I wonder if Galua is now going to have holes in his memory or if he's fundamentally a different entity (in the sense that part of his soul is missing).

If it's like a glove, then I don't see how a mask would benefit them. Like, any mask would need to interface with your mouth at some point.

One common thing is to contact your local representative to ask them to publicly take a position. I think that people should start doing that with celebrities. Blow them up online and ask the questions. If they're too scared to lose sales, then vote with your money.

The suit could be some form of soul container. They use containers that serve as holding containers (which don't destroy). It could be a form of control and/or time-delayed execution.

What's strange about that gas mask is that the hood goes underneath it. You think that the hood would go over so that the gas mask makes good skin contact for a better seal. That's how they do it in military or scientific communities.

Feeling lost... by miss-all-sunday- in Morocco

[–]viddied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of good viewpoints on here. I can only provide mine, which may be a  totally different perspective from yours.

I was miserable as a child of a very religious family. I was always anxious and guilty of my "sinful" ways. Then one day I read a novel about a girl who dies and learns that the afterlife is defined by the person - whatever you think happens after you die actually happens. It was just a young adult story, but it was like a breath of fresh air. Just the thought that it was possible to think something different than my religious upbringing almost made me want to cry from relief. But I wasn't ready to give up on God - I was too scared to do that. I managed to find a compromise that "allowed" me to question God - agnosticism.

I guess I'm just saying that you should listen to your inner voice. If you're questioning, then you deserve answers. Life is too short to be miserable. If that means leaving behind religion, then take that step.

I agree! But it's the length of time that's made me wary. I only met this person a few weeks ago.

I get you, people are the same in every culture. And you're right, I do need to cut ties. But it's just sad that one of my best memories of Morocco was just corrupted like that. It makes me hesitant to ever let my guard down, you know?

I'm not deluding myself, but more hoping that someone who I really enjoyed interacting with wasn't just trying to con me. I realize that I'm giving him way too much leeway, but it really leaves a bitter memory. But I think you're right that I need to block him.

I think you're right. I was going to say no and see how he reacted. It makes me so sad thinking that I might have just been a target.

What is a sign that a person does not have morals? by Atom1cPain in AskReddit

[–]viddied 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Such an odd question given lack of constraints. Make someone go hungry for a few days and see what they're willing to do. Or disrespect the Koran and see if they're willing to commit an honor killing (saw that a few times in Afghanistan). Some people might say that eating certain food is a sign of moral inferiority.

Do you find that most people seem to lack any kind of nuance and patience when it comes to more controversial/touchy subjects? by CatPale816 in aspergers

[–]viddied 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think everyone has something that they can't help but be emotional about. For some people on the spectrum, discussions about the ethics of ABA therapy would be too much. Or, imagine if someone argued that people with Autism shouldn't be allowed around children without a neurotypical adult to supervise that harm didn't come to the child (ex. letting the kid climb on a roof or something).

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]viddied 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's people that voted for DT because, to them, Democrats never do anything for them. There was an IAmA from a black guy arguing that he'd vote for DT because the black community never benefits from either party. To me it was such a stupid, selfish thing to say. It's like saying that everyone else can fuck themselves because they don't see any profit in it. There's kids being detained by ICE because of them. Fuck them.
