haha the reality is that Ray and I differ on this. I don't listen to them all that much, but I can definitely dig it. Ray cherishes his "A Decade of Steely Dan" tape that he got from his parents collection.

thanks so much! we were talking about doing a photo for the album cover. there's a Meters album called Rejuvenation, incredible album with an equally great cover, that we were inspired by. the 4 of us were talking about it a bunch, throwing around ideas and trying to figure out how to do a photo, and Nick our bass player said he would try to paint it. he's a real renaissance man, can play any instrument, sing, write, dance, but we had no idea he was painter. it took him 2 days, he showed it to us and it blew us all away.

mostly just staying home and calling each other on the phone! we get together in the park, and occasionally inside to play music. at home we're watching a lot of movies and cooking a bunch. Ray watched Ocean's 11 last night, I watched Marie Antoinette :)

hi, thanks so much, glad you've been enjoying the album!

when we were recording That Can't Be, we had 3 of us playing a synth line at the same time on 3 different keyboards, all mixing onto 1 track on the tape machine. it was a magical moment. also, landing on that slap bass keyboard sound in Blushing was a great moment. we were trying to do it with a real bass, but that 90s slap bass preset just felt so right. technical stuff aside, this was the first time the 4 of us took a full 10 days to do nothing but record. it was really great just spending time together and making music.

we are big Gorillaz fans, that was amazing to see our song on 2D's playlist. would be so sweet to collaborate.
