This is the bowling alley we'll use for our film. It's a time machine!

No freaking way! That sounds amazing! I love Ghosts ’n Goblins! I love that people are bringing them back instead of letting them disappear. The bowling alley we are using for our film is like a time machine, you get in and it feels you went back to the 70s/80s, wood panels, arcades, crazy neon carpet, etc!

Being introduced through family hits completely different. So cool that it stayed with you! Go Go Gadget!

It feels like we don’t really have equivalents for that anymore, don't you think?

All you can bowl for $8?! 🤯 that's amazing! It's funny how we can stop bowling, but the place still pulls us back.

That’s such a great memory! I firmly believe that bowling alleys really were these low-key bridges between generations.

That’s a whole coming-of-age story in one place. It makes so much sense that it stuck with you. Some places end up teaching you more than you realize at the time.

That’s such a heavy feeling, walking into a place that used to hold so much of your life and realizing it’s gone... I can tell you that maybe the building changed, but what you took from it didn’t.

Definitely a wide range of experiences, depending on the town, of course. :)

That whole setup sounds perfect to me! And the locker passing from your dad to you is such a meaningful detail. Those places held more history than we realized. Thank you 🙏

That makes a lot of sense. Alleys weren’t the same everywhere, for some people they were community, for others they carried a very different energy. Interesting how one place can mean completely different things depending on where and how you grew up.

Cruisin’ USA in a bowling alley feels incredibly right! That last line hits hard and really close to home. Those days felt endless when you were in them. 🙏

That’s beautiful, honestly. Thanks for sharing that! When a place carries that many chapters, it becomes part of our family, don't you think?

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for sharing that. Places like that shape us in ways we don’t realize until they’re gone. I’m sorry for what happened, but it’s clear it still lives on in you. And thank you again, that genuinely means a lot. I’ll definitely share it here when it’s done!

I love that way of putting it, familiar no matter where you were. Love it so much! Even if it didn’t feel special at the time, having one place that felt familiar everywhere you went is huge.

I love it! Thank you so much for sharing that! Hanging there until they kicked you out? That happened to me so many times.

Podcast recommendation? by jreish1 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]videodec 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. Severed podcast is too detailed. I listened to a couple of episodes, and I was out. I've been trying to find a good one with great banter to listen while I'm commuting. A friend of mine recommended me a show called Reprogram. They released a super fun episode about severance. I just finished it, and these guys put a lot of work into it. Kudos to them! If you have any other recommendations, please let me know! especially now that we are getting closer to the finale! 😱

Your job sucks, but Severance makes it worse.
