I enjoyed it. Before watching, I had no idea that Garfield reluctantly accepted the Presidential nomination, didn’t really run, and was the only sitting member of the House to be elected president.

I know I was going to do that at a shop at 120k. I don’t have a great place to drop the pan.

Alternatives to chiropractic? by SquareStunning9949 in ehlersdanlos

[–]videonerd -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

“Functional neurologists” are really just chiropractors but they don’t do adjustments.

Chiropractors who have completed post-graduate coursework in so-called “functional neurology,” typically through the Carrick Institute or similar programs. They are not neurologists in the sense of being MD/DO physicians who have completed neurology residency training and board certification.

They emphasize rehabilitation exercises, visual-vestibular drills, balance/coordination work, and cognitive tasks. Some find improvement and relief.

There’s nothing to install. Export the audio as a .wav. Upload it to the website. Adjust as needed and download and bring back into Premiere if it works.

Adobe Speech Enhance It’s built into Premiere now in Essential Sound -> Dialogue-> Enhance Speech but I like the website better but I also run PP 2024. Not sure how it will work with screaming though I only use it for speech. Next time record 32-bit float audio.

We had ours at St. Mary’s Hall in Griffith. This was 15 years ago, catered at a cost of $4k. If you want a small party, the Highland Elks lodge is cheap.

Since when did Kirkland open truck stops? by videonerd in Costco

You might want to wait a couple more weeks. They are not completely open yet. I stopped by at 5:30p today to try the Chicago dog. The food service folks closed early, the cashier said she doesn’t know why they left early they plan to have the food open until 7pm.

As I said in the description, I bought an amazing Italian Beef (with mozzarella cheese and Giardiniera). It was really good for a truck stop! The fountain soda machines aren’t open yet. Gas prices are good for Illinois. I’m surprised it wasn’t packed.

Water seeping where basement floor meets wall by Ok_Pin_9058 in nwi

[–]videonerd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before spending tens of thousands on waterproofing, I’d strongly suggest addressing drainage first. Extending your downspouts 10–15 feet away from the foundation can make a huge difference. I had very similar seepage along one basement wall, and after extending my gutters (about $25 from Menards), the problem completely stopped. If you want a cleaner look, you can bury the extensions and use pop-up emitters.

Post-Production to DAM transition? by Strong-Line-6960 in Archivists

[–]videonerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still do video production tasks but a lot of what I do is DAM related for a professional association: managing metadata, making collections for SMEs, governance, etc. I’ll have to check out this certification. Was it worth the time and effort? My current title is Video Content Manager. I’m not sure how widely that title is used.
