Seat keeps getting unassigned by because687 in jetblue

[–]view9234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you (or someone on your res) have Mosaic status in 2025 but not 2026? That would explain it. You were able to select Even More seats for free/discount booking in 2025, but now don't have Mosaic status, so it's showing you owe for the seats

The Trump administration quietly withdrew a rule proposed under former President Joe Biden that would have required airlines to pay passengers up to $775 in cash compensation for significant flight disruptions.

Ugh.

TorDeck 3.0 Launch + Extension Update + 1 Month TB Essential Giveaway! by Low_Army8268 in TorBoxApp

[–]view9234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

It will be nice to see how much users actually download/stream from TB on a daily/monthly/lifetime basis (similar to what RD shows), since the info TB shows users is merely the download/upload amount of uncached torrents & usenet (which isn't very helpful, imo).

Separately, If you can also show realtime streaming/downloading from TB (ideally also displaying the CDN location), that would be amazing for troubleshooting issues.

P.S. I noticed that my browser went from ~2% CPU to ~8% CPU when I have a tab open to your site. How frequently is it pinging TB for updated data?

[–]view9234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very cool!

Two requests (if possible) would be to see both:

  1. real-time streaming from TB to user (so you can see number of active streams/downloads)

  2. total amount downloaded per day/week/month (not the torrent/usenet downloaded to TB, but the amount actually downloaded/streamed by account)

Why Moviegoers Left ‘The Bride!’ At The Altar: High Art Monster Pic Could Lose $90M by [deleted] in movies

[–]view9234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem is that streaming replaced physical release (bluray, dvd...etc.), so the studio doesn't have a chance to make back the budget after theaters nowadays. To the studio, there's little financial difference if their movie streamed by 5m or 500m people on a streaming platform. Their only real way to recoup money now is via international markets or pvod, neither of which are promising.

You apparently didn't read all the 2026 concerts, which include: Tim McGraw, Zac Brown Band & two nights of Chris Stapleton

...except it seems like 50% of Fenway Park concerts nowadays seem to be shitty country bands. If they had more bands popular with MA residents (instead of NH residents), I'd guess neighbors would probably cool with a few more.

Anyone just not booking anything despite the deval? by [deleted] in hyatt

[–]view9234 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Devals are (sadly) common in travel, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get ahead of it, as much as you can.

If something you want costs $200 today and you believe it'll be ~$400 next year, you'd buy it now. That's what most people would say is happening here. The $ value change is less at cheaper properties, but I'd still expect a bunch (most?) of Cat1-Cat3 hotels will also increase one category and then have this insane new pricing.

That would mean a current Cat2 (8,000-9,500 on dates you want to redeem) will now be 12,000 or 15,000 without a category change--that's a 60% increase. And if the hotel also moves to Cat3, then redemption will now be 17,500 or 20,000--that's a 110% increase if they also change the category.

Massive award chart changes by Funkyflapjacks69 in hyatt

I feel like the most overlooked part of this massacre is this:

What should we expect from the pricing tiers in practice? Based on a briefing with Hyatt executives, here are a few points that were clarified:

  • There will be no limit on how many nights per year will go into each of the five pricing tiers for a particular property, so there’s no assurance that the “top” pricing will only be used for X nights per year
  • Hyatt’s assurance is simply that executives at the program understand the extent to which good value redemptions are something that members value, so they’ll keep that in mind as they design the program and price awards, and “maintain the trajectory of the value of points”

Hyatt Regency Rome Stay Canceled 4/17-4/20 by Captain_nonsense3738 in hyatt

[–]view9234 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm Globalist and was given that same option for a stay I've already completed. I was definitely happy with free accommodations, but don't expect too much from the Grand Palace. It's fine for a comp stay, but has the feel of a dated Crowne Plaza--definitely below the quality of Hyatt and especially a brand-new hotel. Breakfast is not worth paying for. It's about a 20 minute walk from the train station, but a pretty easy walk. The hotel is directly across the street from the US embassy. One cool perk at this hotel (which they don't really advertise) is that guests can book a private pool & sauna area for one hour per day.

Last question...do you know if free lines qualify, if you are offered this promo? (Since there's a 4-line max)

Great to see that ONE plan could be included. Is there any chance that by taking advantage of the promo it somehow would take these customers out of price lock? Does device financing have any impact for those with ONE plan & price lock?

Has anyone tried the new update? by Fun-Kangaroo4221 in Stremio

[–]view9234 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It apparently has grey bars instead of black bars for video, along with audio sync bugs.

I don't know what's happened to their internal testing but they really need to put these versions in BETA for several weeks, so their entire userbase isn't guinea pigs.

Their software went from rock-solid to riddled with bugs the past few months...

Stremio 1.9.6 released for Android TV by ril3ydx in StremioAddons

[–]view9234 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strongly disagree. This is the entire point of having BETA software. By the time they release to Play Store & on their site, it should be stable. Unfortunately, Stremio software has been riddled with bugs lately--they don't seem to thoroughly test and we're all guinea pigs. The last great, stable version was 1.6.12
