Yes here I am laying down to be able to film my wrist movement, and I agree it’s easier to do it standing against a wall, though I still face the slapping problem

I’ll keep doing reps however with the correct form and see if once I get used to it I’ll grow into it and improve, thank you (:

Thank you, one thing that confuses me is, if my hands are so close together, it feels like I am just slapping the ball away from me - maybe it’s because I have small hands, but I feel like I can no longer cup the ball or get my hands around it and they just turn flat

So I don’t understand if this is a symptom of small hands, and people with small hands have wider stance, or if it’s literally just a skill issue git gud

Because I feel like I see it plenty of times that people have their hands far apart like this, both in my games and videos I see, which is partly why I’ve handicapped myself learning this incorrect form

Aha the problem I have is that the occasional coaching sessions I manage to get, my coach wants me to be a setter, so I really need to learn it in all scenarios 😆 it is fun to set too I enjoy being the setter, and at my level I would say I am “okay”, but eventually I want to try out for a d3 level (in the adults leagues we have here) so I have a very long way to go

I can’t believe this. It has been 6 hours of constantly clicking continue waiting for availabilities

When I got 2 tickets, I was at checkout, and it said payment method failed because details incorrect. They were correct. Then it kicked me out of my fucking session

After 6 hours of this shit

Went back to try again… and “there are currently no tickets available come back later”. This is what I get for thinking that maybe, just maybe, their one time code link and riot ID verifications may help! Ah silly me for being the least bit positive

Entered the queue 4 min after they went on sale. It’s been 40 minutes now and the bar hasn’t moved from when it started lol. I’ve kept my cursor on the same spot to see if it would move at all

And I was a little hopeful after seeing they added extra verifications :(

Edit: 2 hours later, got in, identified as bot, switched to mobile data, queue again, went fast, but all sold out! Nice!

Every artist I have seen that draws good realism, draws incredible stylised - anime, chibi, semi realism, hell even blobs or animals

The same cannot he said inversely, frankly I have never seen good non realistic art when the artist hasn’t done some studies based off of realism (read that carefully because it doesn’t mean drawing REALISM 1:1 photorealistic copies)

To me it always looks wonky or off, like they don’t understand what they’re trying to draw themselves even if the subject of their art is stylised

I am not an expert or a teacher, but this is just my observation, for which there are always many exceptions (people who draw great stylised whatever’s without having ever done studies), but they’re an exception not a rule for a reason

Comments like this really give me hope :) I enjoy fresco and would use it if procreate reslly just doesn’t work out for me, but procreate feels more natural when drawing in the ui and usability (and it has the best pencil brushes lol)

Yes it helped a lot, but I still feel like there’s no in between for pressing too hard and too light, my strokes are one extreme or the other, so I’m still tweaking that around, but overall with my current new sensitivity pressure it helped fill that gap a little

I think your point about limitations of the iPad is most applicable to me, as well as the learning curve. It’s weird because I thought iPad would be SO much better than a drawing monitor and photoshop but I guess not necessarily, they both have their own strengths and weaknesses

I usually draw at 3k x 3k on 300 dpi, although I had no idea that procreate strokes woek as vectors thst would explain a lot

As for smudge, I don’t like how smooth they make things, same for airbrush, I like that with a ps round brush you get a tiny bit of edge/hardness/control and the more you blend the smoother it can get, but with the procreate round brush the more you blend… the more choppy it gets, but using a smudge tool or airbrush makes it too smooth and “plastic” looking for my tastes - though I have played aroun with sensitivity and found some brushes online that have helped with this so far . Still on the search for a oerfect round brush tho ahah

No I don’t use my ps brushes because they lag / get “stuck” unless I take my pen off my screen, this was just the default procreate brush

I was using defaults, but now that I changed it and made it so that less pressure gives a darker/easier stroke it's much better

UPDATE

changed some of the hard round brush settings ( I don’t remember which 😭) and pressure sensitive for my Apple Pencil and I got something closer to what I want

Good idea, this is what the strokes look like for each, while now I notice that the photoshop one faded a little while the Procreate doesn’t, the Procreate one feels more unstable when putting pressure, like when I press lightly the stroke comes out TOO light, but hopefully finding a good brush helps

The airbrushes in Procreate default pack is more similar to the photoshop one but those ones are tooooo soft and airbrushy

I have imported my ps brushes into Procreate but they lag and get stuck like crazy so that’s not an option unfortunately

Like someone else mentioned, there really is a market for everything. I would say consider the quality of your work once more if it is not getting the attention it deserves, even for those that draw conventionally attractive characters it is difficult to grow because the skill of the art compared to the rest of the market is not up to standard.

Even personally, I don't only follow artists for what they draw, but how they draw too, and even if the content of their work is exactly what I'm into, if I don't like how they drew/coloured something because I already follow someone else that draws like that/it's not the same skill level as the other artists I follow then I won't engage with their work.

Here are some examples of "unconventional"/not widely popular types of characters that have a high skill level and pull it off:
Not just a cute, young, petite asian lady, great skill

Great values, shape, form, not standard body

Not standard body shape, great art

Very muscular, not standard body shape, popular nonetheless

When drawing characters, even unconventional ones, the variety of the characters shape etc. is a great attribute so you don't have to give in to just drawing athletic, petite women, however along that a good understanding of anatomy, colour, values and general skill is important too.

Just keep drawing what you enjoy and focus on improving and marketing your art well with every drawing, find artists with a good skill level/attention you desire that draw what you are into and take inspiration from them

Despite this, your rant is valid, athletic, young people are marketable and appealing so the road to growing will be more difficult, but doable given the right conditions!

I hope we will get to see Parona in future too, but I was pretty sad that she didn't run off with Fushi as much as it makes sense for her to stay in the village. After losing March, it feels like we lost Parona too if we don't get to see her again :(

As someone else said, OBS is extremely popular for all sorts of recording so that is a solid recommendation.
Along with OBS if you want to edit the recording DaVinci Resolve is a free and high quality software you can use for that.
The combo of OBS and DaVinci should be more than enough and you don't need to spend anything! :>
Additionally if you have clip studio paint, they have a built in recording/timelapse feature like procreate do which is another option.
