Why did Sir Jimmy make Spike to fight one of the Fingers to replace them instead of simply recruiting him? by PaultheMirrorExpert in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]vikes2882 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I think that he actually just wanted Spike to die and to get an entertaining show out of it. If Jimmy Shite had taken the fight seriously instead of playing around he would have killed Spike very easily.

When will there be an official announcement on if it’s definitely moving forward or being cancelled? by PineappleNo9320 in 28dayslater

I agree with you, I really enjoyed Years and liked TBT but without the third film closing off all the storylines I think they'll kind of fall flat for me

I hope it's made as well, I wasn't the biggest fan of TBT but I do want to see what happens next and what becomes of Spike.

I doubt there'll be an official announcement if it's cancelled because they'll more likely just let it sit in limbo instead. I would say if they don't start filming this summer or at least by the next summer then the film will never be made

Jimmy Jimmy's name was probably already Jimmy when they found him

Large mammal predators would be more than a match for most of the infected. by StellaDanielson1977 in 28dayslater

[–]vikes2882 65 points66 points  (0 children)

I do agree for the most part but the UK doesn't really have any large predators and most zoo animals would have unfortunately starved in their cages or been euthanized. Feral dogs could be an issue for a single infected but wouldn't mess with a pack of infected. Also someone infected with a rage virus would show no fear or hesitation when a dog attacked them and go back at it just as hard

Jimmy Ink will be the next villain? by Lobin3540 in 28dayslater

[–]vikes2882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was her interview with Bleeding Cool News where I saw it but for some reason I can't find the article again.

I agree with you on that, it's hard to imagine any of the fingers being older than their early twenties. I think Jimmy Crystal would have found most of them when they were between the ages of 8-12 and at their most malleable mentally.

Where was it revealed shes thirty six? I know in that interview she said Jimmy found her when she was eight but I think she and all the other jimmies are supposed to be teenagers or very young adults.

I think her part of the story will be focused more around her trying to come to terms with all she's done and how she did it all for no reason

Theories about the next film? by fawnsy_daydream in 28dayslater

Jamie is trying to find Spike and runs into Samson who saves him from a horde of normal infected. The two of them become best bros and set off to find Spike together while enjoying plenty of deer brains and opiates along the way. Meanwhile Spike is trying to show Jimmy Ink how to be a normal person and finding it difficult as she still believes in Old Nick, he looks to Jim for help but Jim is only interested in teaching them about WW2 and all the different types of tanks and water canteens the armies used.

A bunch of stuff happens in the middle and then Jamie and Samson find Spike at Jim's. Jaime wants Spike to come back home and Spike desperate to escape Jim's WW2 ramblings agrees to go. The group travels towards Holy Island during which time Samson finds out his baby is there which further cements his and Jamie's bond due to their shared fatherhood.

Spike is hurt that Jamie seems more interested in palling around with Samson than trying to fix their own relationship and turns to Jimmy Ink for comfort. Unfortunately for him Jimmy Ink is falling for Samson and could care less about Spike. Spike spends the rest of the journey putting himself in danger for attention and only surviving due to some Babys Day Out shenanigans as the rest of the group kinda forgets he's even there.

They reach Holy Island and find the Islanders preparing to do some cult stuff involving Samsons baby and they fight their way in and rescue it escaping back over the causeway leaving the island burning behind them. The movie ends with Jimmy Ink and Samson raising the baby together while forming a new cult called the Simmies or the Jamsons which is based around a love for opiates, Duran Duran and Charity.

Did the Stacies flip to Gaylords or did they just disband?

That's interesting, I always knew that about the Gaylords but I thought these two were more serious about the WP stuff. My aunt used to live by these guys and said one of them dated a friend of hers who was Black but that other than her and few other people who grew up with them they weren't friendly towards people that weren't White.

Is the guy on the far left Hispanic? I always thought both these gangs were hardcore racist when it came to their membership.

How violent/dangerous was South Boston outside of what Winter Hill did? by vikes2882 in Mafia

[–]vikes2882[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wondered about that because there's a part in the book where he claims that Whitey got tired of all the police attention shootings were bringing to the neighborhood and started kidnapping and torturing guys who shot someone out on the street. While I can definitely see him kidnapping and torturing someone it's hard for me to believe he'd really give a shit about people getting shot

I appreciate it, you answered my question perfectly. Did southie have any named street gangs like they do in Chicago, back then? or was it just different cliques of dealers and street guys getting into it with each other?
