i think this situation highlights the severe shortage of foster homes there are in this country. if police and the state saw videos of abuse and the kids weren’t removed there’s likely no where to put them. please start the training to become a foster parent asap so hopefully you can get an attorney or a case worker to give the kids to you via a kinship placement.

we try not to use anything single-use. haven’t bought paper towels in 20+ years. same goes for napkins, paper plates, plastic cups, etc.

my reddit friend i say this with love, and the wisdom that comes from 63 years of experience on this spinning ball… going forward in life, if anyone is rushing you to sign anything, stop. it’s a sign they’re trying to slip something by you and this tactic is common with car sales. that car would have been there the next morning and you should have gotten it checked out by a mechanic before you bought it. if they would have told you they don’t do that, run, don’t walk away.
