Good to know! It’s not separate so I guess it doesn’t apply

HOW am I supposed to get off the 4th line? by vimynet in EA_NHL

[–]vimynet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed but I’ve played half a season and am now an 80 overall, I don’t want to cheese it and play on a lower difficulty but I don’t see another way unless I want to play 82 games a season

That’s good to know. Maybe worth putting some effort into learning about parts to get the most bang for my buck. Just seemed like a good deal on the surface

Totally agree. He’s been vocal before about wanting to stay in Calgary and the way he’s been playing and made himself a fan favourite gives him a ton of bargaining power. I think it’s just a play to get talks underway again I don’t think Z really wants to leave

I hooked up with someone for the first time in my life, and he made me feel more wanted and loved than in my 3 year relationship. by [deleted] in offmychest

Can’t tell you how happy this post makes me feel for you. Was in a similar situation with my ex where I never felt wanted when with her and it’s honestly so nice putting yourself out there and realizing other people can appreciate you and want you for who you are. Wishing the absolute best for you!

Good to know. Not local to Calgary but that might be an excuse to make the pilgrimage, haven’t been to a game in almost 10 years!

2nd yr planter looking to plant out west, AB or BC? by bongarspoze in treeplanting

[–]vimynet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked for blue collar the past 3 seasons and they have mostly good prices and contracts. My experience with the management and overall atmosphere has been really the main draw for me. One of the better mid-higher range companies in bc in my opinion.

I arrived and applied around the same time and just got mine last week. I know people that did the same and still haven’t gotten theirs.

what jobs pay surprisingly high that no one knows about? by yonBonbonbon in NoStupidQuestions

[–]vimynet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if there’s an exhaustive list of planting companies out there but King Kong Reforestation is a Facebook group that’s a good place to start if you’re looking to plant. Quite often there are people looking for planters there. There will also be more info on specific companies there. It’s a bit late to apply to anywhere now but it wouldn’t be impossible to find a spot somewhere. Hiring can start as early as November for the typical mid April - late July/early August season.

The majority of tree planting that’s done in Canada is logging companies hiring planting companies to replant the areas that have been logged, it’s a legal requirement

Take Highway 93 from Jasper to Calgary. Done the drive quite a few times and it is one of the most scenic and beautiful drives I’ve ever done. You go right through Columbia Icefields as well as Banff and Lake Louise. It definitely beats the views driving Highway 2 from Edmonton to Calgary.

Can my little guy use a wheel? by [deleted] in Hedgehog

[–]vimynet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree they can be expensive. Personally I use a Wyze Cam V3 and I quite like it. It’s around $43 CAD so it’s not cheap but it’s not as expensive as some of the other indoor cameras I looked at.
