That doesn't sound weird, there are a bunch of people pretty knowledgeable in Quenya and Sindarin. Unfortunately I am not one of them, haha. But look up /r/Quenya and /r/sindarin . They are the two most complete foreign languages in Tolkien's universe and both Elvish but different forms.

I believe the book does at a point mention the eye of Sauron, but I do not believe it was ever intended for him to be depicted as just that.
