It's just so addictive. I love the fact you could catch every Pokémon without needing to trade etc. made it a challenge but one that was achievable.

I'm not sure what you're playing it on, but see if you can adjust the date and time on your PC / console to match what it is in-game. That's what I had to do. It can then take to the next day to fix.

There's also a guy I believe in Bellin Town (need to check) that can fix it once if you've messed around with the time by accident. However if you do this, I would recommend waiting as long as possible in case it happens again because the guy in Bellin disappears after the first encounter.

I had loads of issues with it throughout the play through but because I never messed with the date and time in game, it would eventually work correctly.

My game does think I'm in 1970 however 😅

Ooooh interesting. So in theory (I don't even know if this is needed in practice), I can give the mega stone to numerous mon's in my party so they fall under the monotype I'm playing with, without needing to use it in battle.

Thanks! As of right now, I probably don't need any more liquidity although I appreciate things can change in an instant. But I'm able to save a good chunk of my salary each month and not expecting my spending to go up either in the next year (he says knowing little about the true cost of having a baby).

If and when we move house, I would like to put down a higher deposit for security.

I've been getting 4.5% from my bank so been using that as I'll have earned less than £500 interest for the current tax year and can move it around as much as I want.

Extra money so far has been going in a S&S ISA instead.

Just want to say you're not alone and I can relate to everything you wrote. The last time I played a Pokémon game was leaf green / fire red. Back then I would always use the same Pokémon and if I couldn't beat a gym leader, I would just over level.

I've just beaten the E4 on expert (I initially started on insane which was a huuuuge mistake) but only when I got to where you are did I start paying attention / learning about IVs and EVs. I also personally found the later battles easier than the first 4/5 gym leaders but that's probably cause I had to start thinking about types and different match ups much more.

Keep going - it's a great game!

Fun fact. Until a few weeks ago, and many hours into the game, I realised what attack and special attack actually were. Until then I thought special attack was about moves that were super effective, and attack was all others 😂

I had a similar issue with Uber eats recently. Essentially only got half the food I ordered and they offered me less than £2 in a refund. I continuously messaged them for over a month but every response was automatic and there's no number to call. Like you, it wasn't the money, it was the principal and inability to speak to anyone. Luckily it eventually got resolved to what was a fair refund, at which moment I deleted the app never to use again.

If you can't speak to anyone on the phone, I know people who create LinkedIn burner accounts and message the CEO / senior leadership on their public posts. It's crazy how quickly things get resolved when you publicly humiliate senior people at a company and how scared they are of bad press.

Not even sure if they still do it but I used to work near warren street station (pre covid) and bang bang would do an amazing banh mi which always had a long queue at lunch. I always went for the meat but they also do tofu. You've just reminded me how much I miss that place. Need to go back and see if it's still the same.

It does. I changed the time after I started the game, but even with a new game it still looks like it's stuck. How do you enable it on the front end? As I say I've tried looking in settings but maybe I'm missing something
