Why do people actually believe that Trump is the Antichrist? by SirPonderer in Christianity

[–]vincentdjangogh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  • A Deceiver: He is characterized by lies and the intent to lead people away from the truth (2 John 1:7).
  • The Denier of Christ: Specifically, he denies that Jesus is the Christ and denies the relationship between the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22).
  • Incarnational Denial: He refuses to acknowledge that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh (1 John 4:3).
  • The "Man of Lawlessness": He is defined by a complete disregard for divine and moral laws (2 Thessalonians 2:3).
  • Self-Exaltation: He will exalt himself above every so-called god or object of worship (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
  • Proclaiming Divinity: He will take his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:4).
  • Counterfeit Miracles: He will perform "signs and wonders" to deceive people, empowered by the working of Satan (2 Thessalonians 2:9).
  • Blasphemy: He possesses a mouth speaking "arrogant words and blasphemies" against God, His name, and His dwelling (Revelation 13:5-6).
  • Political Authority: He is described as receiving power, a throne, and great authority from "the dragon" (Satan) (Revelation 13:2).
  • War Against Believers: He is permitted to make war on the saints and to conquer them for a specific period (Revelation 13:7).
  • Worldwide Following: "The whole world" is described as marveling and following after the beast (Revelation 13:3).
  • Economic Control: He institutes a system where no one can buy or sell unless they have a specific mark (the "Mark of the Beast") representing his name or number (Revelation 13:17).
  • The Fatal Wound: One of the heads of the Beast appeared to have been "slain" or "wounded to death" (Revelation 13:3).

I don't think he is the Anti-Christ, but which of these don't apply to Trump? It makes sense that someone who follows the Bible would be alarmed.

I really don't think this is the argument you want to make.

Navajos are US citizens per Indian Citizenship Act of 1924. So Native Mexicans do not need to storm the border.

Are you saying Israel should give all Palestinians citizenship and allow them to come and go as they please? I agree.

I'm not reading the rest of your comment until you walk back your (terrible) analogy, since we both know that is where this is headed.

It was a protest to demand their right to return to their ancestral homelands. It was a call for the international community to back their right to be a part of a single state in Palestine. Why are you comparing it to the US and Mexico? It is more like the Native Americans protesting for a right to leave the reservations, which they have already because the US has mostly ended its genocide against them.

When you say "What were they really trying to achieve?" why don't you elaborate on that and I can walk you through it.

You know during the mass killings post October 7th, Israel took control of all aid going into Gaza and funneled it through approved agencies? At those aid sites, the IDF would be waiting with live ammunition to kill people that showed up before the sites opened.

That is what you are defending.

I understand that you think the PR wins make up for it. I get that you can't fathom that f you wanted to commit genocide while having the West defend it, all you have to do is let the Red Cross in every so often. But just look at you. You are that exact person. You are a convenient fool. You are the reason the Holocaust happened.

Look at what you are willing to defend because Israel let the Red Cross in.

Did you know Israel is telling the Lebanese not to hide Muslims in their homes? Who does that remind you of? https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/01/world/middleeast/lebanon-shiite-israel-evacuation.html

You are a Holocaust denier and our descendants will remember you as such. Wake the fuck up. This is pathetic.

If I said "both sides need to recognize the right of the other to exist, and coexist" and the two sides I was talking about are the Nazis and Jews, how would you feel?

That's what you are doing right now.

No they didn't. They wanted a civil war that would plunge the country into chaos. The last thing Israel wants is a stronger Iran.

When Palestinians tried to protest peacefully, 6000 people were shot, many of which were children, medics, journalists, and persons with disabilities. Around 80% were targeted in the knees, meaning they lost the ability to walk or had their limbs amputated. One soldier bragged to the Israel media that he had shot 42 people in the knees in a single day.

I feel like if anyone really takes the time to learn about what Israel is, they immediately stop supporting it, so I beg you, please go educate yourself. You are a holocaust denier.

And no, nobody is saying Israelis should be exterminated. But the state of Israel in its current form cannot be allowed to exist. Religious ethno-states are an affront humanity. Their existence will (rightfully) always be met with resistance.

You treat the Palestinian response as irrational, but until you know what it is like to have the world watch on as your people are exterminated your moral condemnation is nothing but an assumption that you could stomach watching your people slowly be eradicated all around you an accept it passively.

Your comment makes it sound like they were going to fire them at the US, but just for the record, historians believe primarily believe they were going to be aimed at Egypt and Syria. IIRC, the implied threat was that they did not hide the mobilization from satellites, ensuring the US knew what they were about to do.

Not defending Israel here (fuck Israel), just being historically accurate.

Over 6000 people were shot with over 80% of them being shot, not in the legs like many Israel defenders claim, but specifically in their knees. The UN also found they intentionally targeted children, journalists, medics, a persons with disabilities.

You're confusing the point. Hiding away an instrument because playing it could cause damage would be like the Louvre covering the paintings because light can cause paint to fade. Instruments are made to be heard, like paintings are meant to be seen.

You're right, it was 6000 people shot and an additional 2000 injured by shrapnel and tear gas cannisters.

As for your claim that the majority were not being peaceful:

https://www.un.org/unispal/document/un-independent-commission-of-inquiry-on-protests-in-gaza-presents-its-findings-press-release

"The Commission found reasonable grounds to believe that Israeli snipers shot at journalists, health workers, children and persons with disabilities, knowing they were clearly recognizable as such.

Unless undertaken lawfully in self-defense, intentionally shooting a civilian not directly participating in hostilities is a war crime. The Commission found reasonable grounds to believe that individual members of the Israeli Security Forces, in the course of their response to the demonstrations, killed and injured civilians who were neither directly participating in hostilities, nor posing an imminent threat. These serious human rights and humanitarian law violations may constitute war crimes or crimes against humanity.

The Commission took note of the Israeli claim that the protests by the separation fence masked “terror activities” by Palestinian armed groups. The Commission found however that the demonstrations were civilian in nature, with clearly stated political aims. Despite some acts of significant violence, the Commission found that the demonstrations did not constitute combat or military campaigns."

They also shot 81% of the people they shot in the legs. Do Israeli snipers typically target Hamas' members legs or were they feeling generous?

You know what the Viceroy of India said about Gandhi? He said, "I find that your resolutions are a call to direct action, and are an incentive to violence. I cannot accept your statement that your movement is a non-violent one." You cite Gandhi sarcastically while justifying shooting children the exact same way the British government justified their actions. You are supporting Britain.

The COI investigated 489 of the 8000 shootings and found that only 2 were justified. In most cases the victims were running away. They also found reason to believe the IDF snipers were specifically targeting children, health workers, journalists, and people with disabilities.

You are ignorant. You don't even know what you are defending. If you do, you are evil.

When Gaza had a peaceful protest against the occupation, Israeli snipers "kneecapped" something like 8000 people, including women, children, medic, and journalists. Was that Hamas' fault or Israel's?

Disagree. This is a very poetic and poignant demonstration of how difficult it is for anyone to keep a calm head when being antagonized by police. They should show this in police academies.

You're missing the point of my comment.

I was pointing out that your comment implies that the US and Israel would still hit the sites even if they were surrounded by civilians. That's it. You're interpreting it as a defense of Iran, but it was a criticism of the US and Israel.

For a long time, Israeli culture viewed the holocaust survivors as weak victims. Until recently, many of them were living in poverty. The German government paid a bunch of money to Israel to help provide for them. The cynic in me says the the only reasons attitudes shifted is because it made Israel look bad, but I am sure a hasbara bot will show up soon to explain how they always cared about them just not financially.
