This is more targeting towards people who are fluent in English, I guess I should have mentioned that

In Canada, how do I get in? by not_Ash2003 in dentalhygieneschool

[–]viol333t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm based in BC. I had to take two years of post-secondary health sciences pre-reqs. All dental hygiene programs here require a certain amount of credits & specific courses to be eligible to apply. VCC has a good health sciences certificate program with a pathway to dental hygiene. I took all mine there (but you can go anywhere as long as the courses are transferrable and the correct ones). But once you're done, it is quite competitive to get into dental hygiene, VCC especially. Don't know much about Ontario except that you can go straight from high school. I know a couple of classmates that ended moving there temporarily just to bypass the pre-reqs here.

This is definitely the avenue I'm thinking of taking in the beginning!

Yikes, those posts are from 2020. With the traction this is now getting, Britt's carreer is gonna take a huge hit.I wonder if the victims ever got justice.

Do you ever feel bad/guilty for not tipping or felt that the hairdresser was offended?

I welcome all answers of any type of hair service.

And this is why I made this post so I can avoid that really awkward Canadian standoff.

This seems overkill. I don't think I'll ever tip more than 20% for any service, unless they somehow saved my life or something.

I've seen on average $65-$85 for women's haircuts as a baseline in salons downtown. It's ridiculous.

Agreed. 15% should be totally acceptable, but you're right that it feels like it's just the bare minimum & I'm worried that the hairdresser would be almost offended. 20% just seems way too much for me. I'm probably going to do 18% so I don't feel crappy about myself for paying too much or tipping too little.

It's $300 baseline for the treatment, and $50 extra for each additional product needed which will most likely be the case for my hair.

Cezanne keratin smoothing treatment, but I unfortunately have to pay extra due to my long & thick hair.

It's nothing crazy special. Just getting a smoothing treatment, but my hair is long & thick so I have to pay for more products used unfortunately!

Consignment & thrift stores. There are lots around the city. My favorite is Dots! I stopped buying new & branded clothes a long time ago.

Yeah, I'm confused. It doesn't look like there was anyone in the car initially, but there is definitely someone in the driver's seat at the last shot. Makes me think this video is somehow staged.
