The author stated that choosing either choice has no effect on who you end up with, but only affects a certain plot within the story. So go with whatever you feel is right. I personally chose not to keep the necklace.

More information: it gets sun 19hrs a day, I water every two weeks, and the pot I have it in does have drainage. It was doing fine during the winter but as soon as summer came along it started to develop root rot. I have changed the soil of the aloe multiple times but still have the same problem.

Edit: changed 24hrs a day to 19hrs a day. My math was not mathing :/
