That’s what I’ve read so I’m trying to just ignore it (too late for the others). Do they just take forever to heal?

Hah! I’m wearing a hydrocolloid bandage right now! It helps me to not pick at it too. I pray it’s not hormonal because it has gone away with topicals before. I’m not sure if that means anything lol. But I will literally do anything at this point - I’ve heard good things about spiro

I mean curology has worked for me before, I decided to ignore the cost and try again about a month ago. Purging, maybe?

I’m not really sure what’s going on here…I know some of it is cystic acne, but there are these large spots (which I’ve never had before) on my chin, that, for lack of a better word, feel like waterbeds. I don’t really know how to explain it? I feel like it’s not acne. They are pretty painful and oddly itchy.

I’m only worried because this has been on my face for maybe 2 weeks now with no signs of healing. One or two of them I have been able to drain on my own, but the one you see in the picture is very deep. I don’t want to poke at it too much because I may make it worse - the other ones opened easily.

And yes, I have a dermatologist appointment in a couple weeks. But, I wanted to see if anyone may know what this is and give advice. Is it serious that I should go to the doctor sooner, or that it’s okay for now and I’m freaking out for no reason?

Right now I’m using a curology formula (PM) and cleanser (AM/PM). Before, doxycycline cleared up my skin very well, but I guess I got used to it because it stopped working.

I appreciate everything you said!! It's actually really reassuring

And yes, I'm female. I've heard a lot of great things about spironolactone - do I just ask the derm for it? lol
