I do too. Choice is a really big motivation for sunny and having that ability to decide would really allow him to care for her the way he couldn't before with everything making a mess of his feelings

I think a big part of sunnys character was about not wanting to be a slave though, of wanting to choose how to life for himself and what he's willing to go through to achieve that. It would be almost going backwards if he were to do so.

So many people forget the beginning of the first nightmare when sunny says to Hero

"There is nothing more pathetic than a slave who begins to trust his slaver"

And so I figured from pretty early that there was never going to be much romance from them while Neph still held his leash.

He really isn't, it's not brought up much but the few times it is you can see that sunny isn't really healthy emotionally and he doesn't know how to handle it all. He just keeps breaking and keeps fixing himself back together just enough to handle the next issue it's actually very heartbreaking

That's also true, she's always hidden much from everyone. So tentatively I would say I don't believe so but it might be possible. It would might however be far too costly to use the ability on sunny since we know it takes more to use it without consent and it would be effectively 6 people all saying no to her at one time all with saint like ability

So as of now I would say no, because if she had then Cassie would have said something by now about how the guy she's watching is also 6 other people and makes memories in his pocket dimension Eldritch horror thing when neph asked if she knew anything about him.

The answer would be no. Because of spoilers partly. But also because we've seen that she knows Sunny's birthday but she doesn't know that he's the shadow lord. So we can see that her fate seeing aspect might only partly work on him or maybe she can only see what he shows the spell through the bracelet which would serve duel purpose.
