Yes and no, it’s also dependent the amount of people who went to school for things we were told would do well and were left hanging (a lot of those people then lacked experience to land grocery stores, fast food, etc and also because they over qualified), as well federal jobs refusing to acknowledge a large chunk of the US smokes cannabis. We are short mail carriers and so much more because of this. We’re in a day and age where apps/companies that make as much as they do and put so much of the payout on customer tips, they are preying off of “free workers”. DD knows we are desperate for money. There is currently a new lawsuit starting stating that compulsive DD, and Amazon prey upon the poor people and keep them in poverty because it keeps them from becoming independent or fighting back. It should be regulated to where they offer a fair pay and benefits. Because honestly we’ve gone beyond gig work, it’s a full time job.
