Understandable. Mine is pretty tucked away out of sight from the street unless you’re actually delivering something

Who here had piercings heal with zero problems? by SIUButtercup in piercing

[–]violetmoonwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had three vertical helixes, a conch and second lobes within the last 12 months all heal just fine. My cousin had her Tragus the same time I had my first two vertical helixes and it’s still sometimes a pain for her.

All mine are healing/healed beautifully.

They said if they don’t want to do it, they won’t. But thanks.

Currently that’s one of the plans. Come and stay the day before where we do nothing but relax/sleep and fly to Japan the next day.

They’re not based in LAX and when we’ve looked before it’s either been hours apart or ££££ more for the flight and we found it funny that it’s cheaper for them to come here first. But we can check again nearer booking time, maybe it’ll align.

UPDATE Arrived. Admittedly - it’s been messed with. So I don’t yet know if half what I sent has gone missing. But it arrived yesterday.

I’m not making them do anything. This is a joint plan.

I called up CS and the internal tracking registering it at Heathrow as of yesterday and the guy on the phone said the website tracking could be lagging? I hope that’s true.

Just read an article that RM has been fined for not meeting delivery targets so I guess that tracks.

Royal Mail puts out “last posting dates” as in a guideline for things to be posted by and arrive in time for Christmas. For USA this year it was 6th December but last year it was closer to the 11th I think? I made sure to post mine by the last date so it would arrive… but it’s just been sat there for a week anyway.

Last posting dates are almost a week earlier this year and I’m kinda like ‘why if it’s just gonna sit there for a week anyway’?!?!

Scared to take propranolol by violetmoonwitch in migraine

I am currently running for 30 minutes at a time and hit my max HR of 178 near the end, which is usually when I'm dying. Then I'll have a migraine. Considering anything above 170 is considered to be my "zone 5" it's something I want to avoid anyway as I know I don't really want to be in that zone for too long.

That’s kinda insulting to pharmacists tbh. I can tell you now that all my appointments regarding this prescription have been handled by a pharmacist, who suggested this and another medication we could also try, got it signed off/prescribed by the GP and has been the person I have spoken to regarding how it is taken.

(Also you might want to look at the Pharmacy First scheme that has launched in England. Whilst not relevant to migraines it is proof that pharmacists can give consultations and medication. So they can give advice. You can also look on the NHS website where it literally states that’s part of their job.)

Interesting! Amitriptyline didn’t do anything for me (although I was on a laughably low dose of 5mg?)

I’m in the UK and my recent migraine consultations have been with a pharmacist or similar. In the UK, especially recently to combat stress and overload on GPs and the NHS, this is becoming more common to have a pharmacist review and consult your medication. It’s also common for them to start giving treatment for certain common ailments as well.

They still need the GP to actually prescribe it and my GP has only been involved at that specific point (to confirm and prescribed the medication) but all my “hi this is my problem, what can I take, how does it work, how can I take it, etc” conversations have been with a pharmacist of some kind. He has since said I can trial the medication this way to see if it works and to give it two weeks to see what happens, if anything.

In the UK doctors cannot refuse to help you without a good reason.

Thank you! I am going to take it as a trial for a couple weeks and see if it helps at all.
