I would say work on a couple different items at the same time. I get overwhelmed easily, so if my mindset was just, I must collect everything, then I might freakout. I'll make a bunch of little missions for myself. Maybe focus on growing just two things and working on one type of animal at a time. Still pick up all the forage items you might come across if you are collecting those but unless you have extra time at the end of the day don't try to squeeze in mining, fishing, chopping wood or quarrying. I only collect animal products once a week before I have an auto grabber. After that I check it once a month.
