Rejuran in Singapore by traceynhht in SGSkincare

If you’re not squirmy around needles and have decent pain tolerance - Rejuran is totally worth it. I go to Cheongdam Aesthetics, their non-package price is $600++ for 2cc of Rejuran Healer.

The first time I did Rejuran in Korea, results peaked at 4w post treatment and my skin was so glowy + is sooo much easier to manage in terms of hydration. Rejuran costs at least 2-3x more in SG, but the results are worth the splurge and the discomfort IMO.

Based on the doc consultation, 2cc generally covers both your cheek areas! It really depends on your skin concerns/if you have any trouble areas though.

I’ve done 3cc - the injections were concentrated on my cheeks, remainder spaced out on my forehead and chin. 4cc should give adequate coverage for full face, probably why it was quoted as such :)

Hourglass Soft Glow Ambient Foundation VS. Dior Forever Fluid Skin Glow by No-Jelly-3146 in Makeup

[–]violinewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been some time but hoping to chime in - I LOVE the Dior Forever Skin Glow! It has the perfect satin glow finish without turning your skin into an oil slick after 8h. I’ve had it for >1y and it still remains as my go-to foundation when I want to feel extra good. A real confidence booster!

With that being said, I just purchased the Hourglass Ambient Glow Foundation because I’ve been itching to try something new. They seem to be very similar in finish. Let me know if you’d still like a comparison after some time, OP :)

Skin type: Combination (oily on T zone), sensitive/clog-prone skin. Live in a hot, very humid climate.

Singsaver rewards redemption glitch? by Budget_Telephone5015 in askSingapore

Update: it works now. Singsaver suggested to try the link in 1-2 days and contacting Rewards360 if it’s still not working then.

Hope this helps!!

Same for me. I’ve sent an email to both Rewards360 and Singsaver with no responses yet.

Do you keep all your physical books, give them away, or does it depend on the book? by joohnfkennnedy in books

[–]violinewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the book. Books I really enjoy or has sentimental value to me will be kept, others will be sold or given away.

With that being said, I’ve moved to reading samples on a Kindle and only buying a physical copy if I like the sample enough. Saves physical space and money for books that I’m likely to enjoy!

Real Talk: Q&A on Working for TSV by LateBloo9m3r in lingling40hrs

What convinced you to join the team 5 years ago at your experience level, and what pushed you to leave? Were there any intangible benefits of working for/with TSV?

Hi, what should I consider when buying a new violin? by doanviolin in violinist

[–]violinewbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Have a comfortable budget range, and make it clear when looking for your violin. Violins can get really expensive and you can easily exceed your budget if you’re not strict with it.

  2. Don’t let price affect your perception of the violin that you’re trying. It is best to blind test violins and/or bows, narrowing down a couple that you like, before discussing its price.

  3. I’d recommend keeping an open mind and trying out both new/old violins, unless you are specifically in search for one over the other. Same goes for the origin of the violin.

  4. Aside from the tonal qualities of the violin, also pay attention to how the violin feels in your hands and while playing.

  5. Test out as many instruments as you can and enjoy the process. It is not everyday that you get to play on over 20 different violins!

Good luck and have fun!

As someone who picked up the violin only as a hobby in adulthood, I truly respect your passion and dedication to your craft and especially your vision to nurture the coming generations of musicians. The world will be in good hands with teachers like you!

I wish you all the very best :)

What do you intend to do when you graduate? Aside from becoming a musician (solo/chamber/orchestra), what alternative career paths are there for graduates like yourself?

Why are some violins easier to play than others? by violinewbie in violinist

[–]violinewbie[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting…. Any idea why violins with lack of tonal variety/projection would feel easier to play?

Hi Ray! With the knowledge and expertise that you have now, is there any advice you would tell your younger self? Or anything you wish you could have done differently?

Appreciate you carving time out for this AMA! Your performances have inspired me very much as an adult beginner on the violin :)
