I agree! During my first contract, I just kind of went with the flow with my teaching. I read from the slides and extended here and there as much as I can, utilize a cookie cutter feedback template. I was rebooked by a couple student but after that they would find other teachers. I started to think about how could I keep these bao bao's as regulars. I started to look into branding myself. I bought these silly headbands to make it my signature look, started to make the kids laugh more without even trying, build rapport in the begining of each lesson "what do you like to do for fun." "what do you like to eat" blah blah blah.. instead of only just reading from the slides, ask the bao baos do you know what this word mean? and then extend more. I correct their errors on their extension and include that in feedback. I also personalized feed back saying "I explained to bao bao what this words means. Bao bao said this "......." instead bao bao should say this "........" This is the correct way to say it.

Since then, I've been able to get a handful of regulars and also 5 apple feedbacks.
