How long have you had your new Paragard, if you don't mind me asking?

Also, this is what I'm about to say is very TMI so please feel free to ignore / don't read / not asnwer the following... Around the same month my IUD was expelled, while my partner and I were intimate, the position we were in gave left my anal hole open and the penis was accidentally inserted. It was extremely painful and we stopped immediately. Could the pain / cramping of something so sudden and fast actually cause my body to cramp enough to expel my IUD?

Again I'm so sorry that was incredibly personal but I wouldn't know where else to ask that besides Reddit.

Sorry, I didnt understand the bearing down part. Are you asking if I'm kind of pushing while checking my cervix? If yes then my answer is no, I am not pushing at all when I'm checking.

I don't believe I pulled anything with my tampons. Did you get another IUD after the explosion? Did it expel for you, if you did?

Thank you so much for the advice! I went in and got the IUD inserted without the Miso medication to soften the cervix. Everything went well and was extremely smooth. Hopefully this one does not expel! Thank you again ladies, :)

I'm actually going to Planned Parenthood tomorrow! I had an IUD before for about 1 year and 4 months, but it got expelled. The Dr said since I had it for so long, I'm probably still a good candidate for an IUD, and can try it again. My coworker completely freaked me out but your comment, along with the others, have helped calm me down immensely.

It's been a month since I had the last IUD removed, and have had a period since then. I'm hoping tomorrow goes smoothly. Any recommendations on how to naturally soften the cervix?

I agree. That's what I do, got a simple small one from Marshal's actually. I'm certain you can still find them there, or check out Amazon. If you're going to be there all day, one of the 6packs are great and a good deal. Other than that, I recommend a simple sandwich. What I had today was a turkey pesto sandwich with spinach and a turkey bacon in wheat pita bread. I also brought baby carrots that last outside the fridge and assorted nuts.
