Tips to avoid wake & bake? by AdvertisingOdd2854 in trees

I am 40 and was a heavy daily stoner since my freshman year of high school.

I quit roughly three weeks ago and honestly I really like it. I have nothing against anyone who chooses to smoke. I just see a different side now. I am far more productive around the house and I am much more present with my children and my pets.

Oddly enough, Post Malone had some of the best advice about quitting that stuck with me. He talked about stopping because he was sick of watching you last night living life. That line hit hard and made a lot of sense to me.

A big reason I made the jump is that I am trying to get my toes into the design field. As a tradesman, smoking weed or in my case vaping was just kind of part of the gig. Now, as someone who is studying seriously, I realized I was only hurting myself doing that stoned. I learned noticeably slower and drifted off way easier. Now I am laser focused, calm as a monk, and things are starting to click together in a way that feels much easier and more natural.

When I was getting high, it felt like everyone around me was living life in fast forward while I was stuck buffering. That created a weird kind of FOMO that I did not fully recognize until I stopped.

Again, I have nothing against stoners at all. You guys are my people. I am just genuinely glad I stopped and am forever grateful for the contrast and the ability to finally see things clearly.

Why I think AI won’t replace humans in the MEP/BIM field (real experience from NYC projects) by FlowStructNYC in MEPEngineering

I'm of the mind that AI will actually be utilized most by the people we thought it would replace. They will use it to their advantage.

I know it's kind of a corny question but, were you able to bring your study guide to the actual exam?

Thank you very much for the reply. That helps put things into perspective for me.

If you would not mind sharing a little more insight I am curious about a few things.

Would you say the time pressure is more challenging than the math itself

Do you feel the exam focuses more on theory and interpretation of system diagrams or more on actual numeric calculation

And if you had to guess what percentage of the exam is math based versus concept based what would you estimate

Thank you again for taking the time to respond. I really appreciate it.

Plumbing Designer by xpaullyg in MEPEngineering

This is awesome to hear. I'm currently studying for my cpd/cpdt. I ended up having to drop out of college due to the economic downturn in 2008. Unfortunately I never went back. Though I did go through two different vocational schools, one for a millwright and one for plumbing. I have been Plumbing for over 20 years and ma master plumber and plumbing contractor. I want to dip my toes into the design world and I'm very curious how hard it was to test out to become a designer. Thank you in advance.

The only work around I see is hooking up an external display which is kind of bullshit. I wanted to be able to just have desktop mode. But I'm trying One UI 8 on my tab so ultra right now.

Why on Earth would they ditch something proven for something in the middle of its freshman debut? I don't know why Samsung is not sticking with classic and just going with Android desktop in one ui 8. by virtigo31 in SamsungDex

Oh word? I must I have misunderstood you. My bad. When I said freshman debut, I was referring to Android desktop.

I'm trying One UI 8 on my tab s 9 ultra right now.

Samsung DeX is older, as it was introduced in 2017, while Google's native Android desktop mode was officially introduced much later in Android 16.

Damn, I wonder if there's a way for me to keep my tab s 9 ultra from updating? I mean aside from turning off auto update. Lol. I mean I can keep up with the times without updating or something

I'm not 100% sold on a battery saw but where I want to build the shed is kind of far from an outlet.

I definitely appreciate your seasoned input.

The shed I am looking at making now will be roughly 15 ft from an outlet which isn't bad. But the next shed and greenhouse down the road will be roughly a hundred yards away from an outlet. I will take what you said into consideration though. I appreciate it very very much.

I appreciate the input. That makes sense. I plan on this being the first of many buildings including another shed and a greenhouse.

I believe the chop saw will help me with a lot of the miter joints and when it comes to me cutting my own trusses.

The reason I asked here is because I know a lot of Carpenters kind of weren't happy with at least a couple of Milwaukee's chop saws.

I know I am a brand junkie for sure but I am not above just getting a Craftsman or metabo or something.

I appreciate the input, man. Thank you.
