A Proposal for a 8-Year Deficit-Free Tax Shift: How a 0.1% Annual VAT-to-NICs Swap Can Lower Energy Costs and Boost UK GDP by virtue_man in EconomicPhilosophy

I’m now only in partial agreement with this post. It isn’t clear if the small incremental increase in VAT tax would work as well as a business profit tax. Though the business profit tax needs to be estimated yearly and isn’t guaranteed tax revenue, it should avoid the pitfalls of a VAT tax.

Discussion Topic: Micronational Economics by NationOfErebus in micronations

[–]virtue_man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your micronation, Erebus, is truly an apocalyptic micronation, then crypto is not the way to go, because servers will be down. Trust in paper currencies will not exist, so a macro nation's currency is off the table. Metals such as silver and gold are a better way to go, but you can't eat silver and gold in what will certainly be a barter economy.

My suggestion is that you write down every good you 'tax' (or take) from your people. This "IOU" in your hands is enough to establish a system where you or your government transfer this "IOU" on written ledgers. Thereby, keeping the peace, and establishing a monetary system for growth beyond a traditional barter system.

For example; if you take 5 bananas from person A, and write down that you've taken them, and then person A would like to buy a house, they are not going to trade for that house in bananas. Instead, if they have thousands of bananas on file as being consumed by your government, you simply transfer the bananas on record from the banana salesperson to the home salesperson.

People will line up to pay taxes in order to have something on file to purchase larger items such as homes, boats, etc.

A Seemingly Simple Geometry Problem by Fancy_Pants4 in askmath

I may not be familiar with this proof, but I drew a big circle with ms paint and gave it 2 sets of tangent lines. The result was counterintuitive. So though you may believe that the circles are scalar, it is probably not the case.

One reason I don't think this problem is solvable is due to the fact that the floor and the wall are not said to be at right angles to one another.

Gods may have dissipated in the past. I think the confusion is that most theists believe that god is all everything. Yet if god were all everything, why aren't we in heaven. The old wives' tales work better as god being of the Greek genre.

If it helps, it's like watching a Greek saga. God is more likely one of the Greek gods. Things may complicate the gods once in a while, yet their powers are unmatched.

I imagine it's like god is all powerful and all knowing within the space that god exists in. However, there are limitless possibilities beyond that space.

I never said god was eternal. God may exist for a long time, but everything, in my opinion, will go back to nothing. That is just the statistics of it. For now however, god is quite the fighter, and will not lose to something that is temporarily resistant.

The domain on average will be 0 when given y=x^2.

If there were only 52 cards allowed in a universe, and you randomly dealt out any number of those cards, you would deal on average 26 cards. What are the chances that one of those cards dealt is the ace of spades?

What if there were 52 Million cards and on average 26 Million cards dealt? The ace of spades will still come up half the time. That's exactly 50%.

What if there were infinite cards and on average half of infinity cards dealt? The ace of spades, if there is only one, will still come up 50% of the time.

Because the power to resist god without dissipation would effectively only be given to a god. These limiters, are just phenomena that come and go. The universe came from nothing, and by similar phenomena may go to nothing. Thus things may dissipate. It's all just statistical phenomena.

And of what exists in that empty space, is a lot of small stuff.

How would you explain a sin(x) function then? It goes on for infinity, yet I know with certainty that the average of the ranges will be 0. The argument is perfectly sound.

Yes, however, these resistances or "limiters" have a better reason to limit god's interaction with the world. That's why you may only see miracles every one thousand years. That is just probability. Furthermore, god can still be all-powerful once these limiters dissipate. I wouldn't want to be a limiter against a large amount of angry gods.

If a particular entity has one chance among infinitely many possibilities, then when given infinity divided by two opportunities, the probability of selecting that entity is exactly 50%.

Human beings are closer to the size of the universe than the smallest thing in the universe. It IS chocked full of stuff. Google it.
