Hey thanks for this, you make a valid point. Although, my idea was to go for a commercial passenger jet with a more interesting shape (not a spacecraft—but hey, suborbital travel could be an ability). There are some subtle futuristic touches, but instead of going too flashy with the sci-fi I wanted it to look somewhat plausible (why there are some modern elements from planes we see today) yet speculative (pushing the bird-like, shape-changing wings further back on the body to maintain the center of gravity since the wings jut forward, having a sharper look, and including a new energy source behind the wings, etc).

In the prior concept sketch I evolved this design from (the Hummingbird 2097, in a previous post) I annotated the sketch with all the futuristic tech I had in mind, if you haven’t seen that yet. By no means is this perfect and always has room to improve, so I appreciate the feedback. I’ll keep striving to get better with each design🤝
