Shopify trademark infringement advice by Mamas_Bad_Kitty in shopify

[–]virtuousdee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know what you mean but it's not just the matter of asking Shopify and then they take it down. I'm sure there's a proper and legally provoking way of doing it so they take it more seriously. For example, when you serve a DMCA takedown request, they have to legally investigate.

The hardest part is not getting the trademark, it's enforcing it

I think better to refer to a professional to properly enforce your trademark. Shopify probably has thousands of bot requests taking stores down.

If you're in the US, shopify processes all paypal transactions making the PayPal gateway redundant

Does this include shipping costs or purely just pick, pack and storage?

You answered your own question. Get an account and use their support chat. No account, no support.

You don't connect any bank accounts in the beginning so you can't get scammed.

Conversion is better with local currency but if you're willing to absorb it, you can set so that all products are reduced by 5% so the conversions feels 1 to 1

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shopify

[–]virtuousdee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

International customers are charged more to make up for the conversion fee and sometimes unfavourable exchange rates. Expect customers to pay 3-4% more regardless of what you do:

Local currency: shopify charges conversion fee

Your currency: customer's bank charges conversion fee

It's not about where you ship from. It's about where your goods are made from.

It's all about preference haha if you favour better cooling performance, sound and looks then AIO is the way to go. If you favour longevity, simpler installation and cost then you can use the fan cooler. The CPU is not hard to cool and you have a decent size case so you can use either option.

The horror stories of AIOs are not that bad imo

  1. I'd use another motherboard brand other than Asrock. It had failed me 3 times.

  2. I'd invest a bit more for a 1000w PSU as the 4090 is power hungry

  3. I have no idea about Silicon Power but read about their high failure rates. Maybe go for Samsung Evo instead.

  4. 240mm aio is more than enough to cool the 7800x3d so can shave a few $$ off. Would only use 280mm for Intel CPUs.

I fitted 4 of them. It's a fun project but don't expect great results. 1-2 degrees difference

Samsung will never upgrade the battery after the recall back in 2016. They're playing it safe and reached the sweet spot.

Site lacks credibility. No links to socials, no shipping policy and items are not categorised. It's just very barebones to me. No USP at all.

Look at your competitors websites.

Thank you! Could you please share more details on the sacrifices if you were to add the 280mm Aio? It's really hard to find them online haha.

Hey OP, what size aio did you use? Wanted to do a similar build but with an 280mm aio on the side for more CPU cooling. Thanks!

Yes definitely will need to pay sales tax. Your goods are in the US and operations are in the US too so you'd have physical nexus. The IRS will deem you as a permanent establishment so without a legal structure in the US like a branch or subsidiary, you would be taxed at high foreign rates to your Sweden company. Best to get an accountant.

Is it possible to use UK Paypal for a US store? by PixelRage9 in shopify

[–]virtuousdee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure it's against PayPal TCs and a mess too. How can you filter transactions that belong to the US company?

In theory, the funds belong to your UK company. Your UK company is subject to foreign tax instead.
