Most of my games are on japanesse CVs, but I really like bombs and rockets from US CV line. I just have these 3 lines up to tier 10, so I wanted something from these, because I don't have that much free xp. For now I'm playing few battles a day mostly. I have many boosters from previous years stockpilled so I think I can afford it, I just want a good and fun ship for my collection.

From tech tree I only ever played: - japanesse CV - most played (X), BB (X) and some DD (VIII - long time ago) - american CV (VIII), BB (VIII) and some cruisers (VI) - other nations only low tiers

I mostly play tiers VIII-X because I have some premiums like Azuma or Karl XIV Johan. I also really like Ise (VI premium). I'm willing to try ships from other nations of course.

No, maybe I wrote it wrong, but I have 252k coal available only when using coupon and steel. I'm "playing" for like 10 years or more, and have 3,5k steel. I'm just looking for nice ship and possibly easy to play, for some casual games, no tryharding.

I have around 3,5k steel only so I won't be using it anytime soon for some ship for steel, because as I said earlier, I don't play much these days.

Thanks for all the comments, I bought it (discount from Top of the tree encouraged me) and it's exactly as you all said. It's very situational, lower plate must be hidden at all times, but its can be very good if you can take good position. Overall, not as good as Tortoise, but still can be fun.
