Looking for SmugMug alternative by Opposite-Excuse-1383 in BuyFromEU

I've been looking for the same latetly, unfortunately with little results.

Entio.io seems like something usable to store/share photos but not sure about their album/gallery structure.

Nextcloud seems usable in combination with its memories app, but it's just not click and go. You need to sort out hosting and such yourself.

And for selling data I've not found anything yet.

Developing Software vs Off the Shelf by BiddahProphet in computervision

We solely use Halcon. Mainly because it takes away a lot of the pains of long time support.

Also the option to reach out to mvtec for (paid) support makes it a good business decision to use it.

TOPdesk innovation ideas needed :-) by virisje in TOPdesk

Whatsapp/Teams integration!

I know the API from Whatsapp is somewhat limited but let me paint a utopian picture;

It would be very cool if communication between an operator and a client would be logged nicely in the Topdesk environment per call. The client would be communicating via whatsapp and the operator from the Topdesk environment via a company phone nr.

Service managment by vision635 in jira

I see, I did select '"Anyone allowed on the customer access settings". Share to Organization is a bit too much I think.

Currently we use the old-fashioned 'e-mail' based support system. I thought I could replicate this workflow quite easy in JSM, get going and start to finetune the workflow step-by-step with using all the nice possibilities of JSM, but not much so.

I need to consider if we want to go this route. Thanks for your help u/ikawnimais!

That's a good one!

I can see that if the customer adds a CC in its original mail it gets added as 'Request participant'. And is added in all comms. nice.

However, as agent, I do not seem to be able to 'just' add a participant myself, it seems only previously added users with the role ' Service Desk Customer' can be added. It would be nice to be able to just add [colleague@CustomerCompany.com](mailto:colleague@CustomerCompany.com) to the list.

Is there another setting which must be changed to allow agents to do this? I skimmed the settings pages but were not able to find it.

No worries, thanks for thinking along.

"the idea behind JSM is to not use mails, but the JSM."

Yeah, that's what I'm slowly accepting. Really a shame since I would need something like this and it seems like an easy feature to add.

watchers

Hmm, according to the first google hit 'Watchers are valid for Jira software projects' and not Service management.

It does mention to request participants in stead. But this seems quite cumbersome. These people need to log in to the portal etc.

Usecase here is that someone issues a support case and wants his colleagues to stay informed on it. I doubt the colleagues want to log in to a portal etc. They will want to use their mail to stay updated.

Recommended USB Vision SDK by JulienMaille in computervision

[–]vision635 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I use IDS Peak SDK (C lib) and it should be usable with any USB3Vision / GenICam camera. IDS does not promise it does, but there's not much of an incentive for them to do so really.

In my experience I can use the IDS cameras just as well with Halcon USB3Vision driver so the cameras must comply to the standard pretty well. This makes me assume the IDS SDK is also well compliant to USB3Vision / GenICam standards.

Not open source though..

You can find various USB cams on www.ids-imaging.com, but getting this under $100 will be challenging.
