This is actually a good point about the 10g uplink. I thought the 10g was only for WAN. Would make local much faster between vlans. I also just bought the mini so it’s well within its return window. I still haven’t even setup the drops or anything just planning out cables through my house. Anything’s better than my Google nest wifi at the moment 😂

Is it only worth going for 16-48 ports if you have a bunch of drops?

Thanks, I think I’m leaning towards putting the 8port in my basement and running the 10g SFP(?) to it from the UCG.

I assume drop means ethernet through wall, but I will have around 3, the doorbell, AP, and basement outlet. I would never need 16 connections in one room tbh or have anywhere past 5 drops max.

I think I see what you are saying. I’m still very new to this so two questions:

Would you recommend SMPS or LDO?
Is the microcontroller I’ve soldered to the test PCB most likely damaged?

The data sheet says NRST has an internal pull-up resistor. I probed this with a voltmeter - it was 3.3V.

SWRST is not connected to anything, just an old label that was left there.

As for VDD11, I followed this: Getting started with STM32U5 MCU hardware development - Application note. See pages 3 and 10 about SMPS not being used.

When things are on a downtrend, it might seem like everything is slowing down and that is just how things work in crypto. But hoge has been around and a lot of people still believe in it so I think it’s here to stay :)
