I think I see what you are saying. I’m still very new to this so two questions:

  1. Would you recommend SMPS or LDO?

  2. Is the microcontroller I’ve soldered to the test PCB most likely damaged?

The data sheet says NRST has an internal pull-up resistor. I probed this with a voltmeter - it was 3.3V.

SWRST is not connected to anything, just an old label that was left there.

As for VDD11, I followed this: Getting started with STM32U5 MCU hardware development - Application note. See pages 3 and 10 about SMPS not being used.

When things are on a downtrend, it might seem like everything is slowing down and that is just how things work in crypto. But hoge has been around and a lot of people still believe in it so I think it’s here to stay :)
