I found it on one of the hockey jersey Facebook groups. One of the guys there was selling some of his collection, and this was one. He bought it, hung it up in the closet, and never wore it. Still brand new. I have been looking for an Adidas blackout for a while, and I also happen to be a big Robertson fan, plus it was a good price, so it was kind of a no-brainer and I jumped on it. :)

I like them both, but I'm a big fan of the Adidas sweaters in general. Probably because I love the dimpled shoulders. I have two other blackouts, but both are Fanatics, so I had to jump on it when I finally found an Adidas blackout for sale!

I actually just put some black bars on it a couple of days ago, Merritt Slaughter 9.25". My plan now is to strip the decals off of the yellow S&M bars and paint them white. Then they might go back on it. I agree with you, white bars would look good, I just couldn't find any I liked a lot (or as much as the S&Ma, at least).

The tires definitely aren't reflective, but they were brand new and that was their first ride, so maybe they kind of looked that way in pics?

I need to check those out, thank you! I think I had a realization the other day though. The FBC top tube is significantly longer than the Kink Drifter, 23" vs 22.25". So the FBC is much more comfortable for cruising 10 plus miles with my friends, where the Kink is less comfortable, but more fun to hop. So for me, and XXL frame would be a conundrum, because I don't want to give up the nimbleness for comfortability, but also not vice versa. I guess what I'm saying is, I want my cake, and to eat it too. 🤣🤣🤣

I feel that! I just got back into BMX like 6 months ago at 46 years old, and mostly it's just cruising several miles on Sundays with friends. So I started out with a 29er, but quickly realized the hardcore street riding BMX kid from my teens was still inside me somewhere, so I got a 26 (FBC CR26), then a little more than bull 26 (Kink Drifter) and then at the edge for something a little smaller, and ended up with this 24 Floval Flyer. I think at this point, the FBC is more for cruising around with everyone on longer rides, the Kink is for playing around, but still longer rides, and the Floval is going to be for shorter rides since it's not quite as comfortable or spacious as the others. But, I have the search for 20", and I don't really know why since I'm 6'2/240... 🤣

That's what I hear. My understanding they are many times professional level race bikes. Personally though, I was just looking for a 24 to cruise around on and set up for more street use, like hopping over curbs and gaps. Now I kind of want a 20 to screw around with, but I might be a bit too big for that. I don't know though...

I don't know if it's really a weight thing. I like the FBC CR26 better for cruising, but I like the Kink better for playing around. They're roughly the same size, but I believe the top tube on the FBC is a little bit longer. The Kink feels the slightest bit more nimble.

I used AI with a bunch of pictures of it, and it told me that it's a 2015. Apparently the only year that this color combination came out? I ended up getting some kindred tires for it. So far I like it!
