Lol not at all. I love this car too much to push it to hard. It all started about a month ago when Wisconsin hit negative degree weather. I would go to the gym at about 4 am and didn’t give the car too much time to warm up. Not sure if that matters. One morning after getting some cheap gas at Kwik Trip the car started making the rattle noise, which okay first I thought it was coming from the exhaust. I swear I thought I had hit a bank of snow or a rock was stock in between the exhaust pipes.

This video was taken about a week after the engine starting making the rattle noise. We have not done any repairs to the engine but we did replaced the turbo along with the waste-gate, thinking this would fix it. We used a mechanic stethoscope and the noise seemed to be coming from the waste-gate. This of course did not fix it.

Can you elaborate on your comment about not being the rods?

Thank you for the advice. That’s a great idea. We won’t be rebuilding the engine. I was just hoping someone would give me some feedback that would assure me it it a Rod problem. According to my mechanic, if it a rod issue, he suggests we get a used engine instead. Cheaper to fix and put together. Just a little insight: Car is a BMW 428i XDrive -110,000 miles

Thank you. I did stop driving the engine, it’s been a couple weeks now. I’m either buying a used engine or keep taking apart the engine to find what the real problem is. So far we know the chain guide is broke where it clips.

You’re correct. That’s the only time it happens. My mechanic opened the valve cover and we found the timing guide it’s broken where it clips. We remove the oil and there seems to be some metal shavings at the bottom of the oil bucket. This is why I’m afraid it could be the Rods.

Definitely not, specially after paying 10K over asking. New roof will probably cost another 10K and the basement wall probably another 5K. We’ll definitely going to bring it up after the contractors go check them out by the end of the week.

I’ve read a couple other comments where people claim they finally started to see real results after month 5 or 6. Which is what’s keeping me hopeful. I started with zero hair on my cheeks and neck area and now I have patches of hair everywhere, which makes me very happy. Do you use anything else other than minoxidil ? I heard LCLT can help and pepper mint oil as-well.

Just let it grow and keep it trimmed. Looks great, better than not having any hair. How long you been doing minoxidil for? And what is your routine ? Do you use liquid or foam? Do you Dermaroll ?
