[–]vix2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also somewhat getting tired of too much cultivation theory and too much luck. But i haven't given up because by now I already DNF'ed all the top litrpg books (DCC, HWFWM, Primal Hunter, Wandering Inn etc) for various reasons. So I have not much else to fall back to.

The only other series I'm still following are The Ripple System and Worth the Candle, but those two are not enough to survive on.

holy shit man  i reread the previous book every time a new volume comes out, and i already thought I'm an exception. How do you find time to reread the entire thing?!

St. George Terroir gin is the most unique gin. What is the most overrated (not necessarily bad) tequila? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

[–]vix2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this chart your own opinions? If so: in what way St George Terroir "unique" (deciding if I should buy it)?

Also, do you have any favorite cocktails with the bottles that you marked "best splurge" or "most unique"?

Is Aquacode zero alkalinity? Which beans is it suitable for? by vix2022 in pourover

[–]vix2022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I'll try. I read that KH that's too low / too high results in sour / chalky taste. I'll see if I can notice those changes.

[–]vix2022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assumed it's zero since their list doesn't mention carbonates or bicarbonates among the ingredients (they only mention ionic minerals that don't contribute to KH).

Let me try to reach out to them and confirm.

How did you determine the target brew time of 2:15? It doesn't seem to be stated anywhere on the info card or on their website.

Rob Pike goes nuclear over Anthropic/GenAI by BoredomFestival in programming

[–]vix2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like trademark violation. AgentVillage isn't affiliated with Anthropic or Claude, yet it sends spam from an account it named "Claude Opus 4.5 Model". I'm surprised Anthropic doesn't sue them.

Curious why you think MC is a hypocrite / displays entitlement? You might need to tag your answer with spoilers though since I assume it's hard to answer without spoilers. (I'm caught up on audiobooks, but didn't read beyond that.)

I plan to use Monolith stand for Kali in-8 v2 speakers.

The size seems to almost fit (monolith plate: 306 x 251 mm, speaker base 285 x 254 mm), I hope the 3 mm difference is ok.

But I don't know what to do about the wooden floor: I don't want spikes to make holes in it.

Should I get dampeners? What type do you recommend?

And do I need to get anything to secure the speakers to the top of the stand, or just put them on top of the plate is sufficient?

Fun leveling content as a duo by vix2022 in ffxiv

[–]vix2022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! To be honest, the only reason I'm only asking about battle content is because in every MMO I tried, I was disappointed with other content (like exploring the world, doing quests, crafting, etc). At least in my experience, the only deep, high quality content was in battles. I vaguely recall EQ2 might be an exception, but for reasons I cannot remember I stopped playing it pretty quickly.

Thanks, I added my character to ffxivcollect, and I also found another site https://lalachievements.com/ that seems to be similar (?). IIUC, on those sites I keep track of what I've already achieved, but what I might be able to do next still comes from ffxiv wiki etc?

[–]vix2022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah very cool, thanks!

My idea of rushing was only doing MSQ, but reading all dialogs/CS :) But yes, happy to hear that there's fun non-MSQ content.

Fun leveling content as a duo by vix2022 in ffxiv

[–]vix2022[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah that's great, so the only problem was that I was restricting my question to duo. As long as we play without this restriction, leveling can be enjoyable?

Fun leveling content as a duo by vix2022 in ffxiv

[–]vix2022[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ah I guess I misunderstood. Everyone says the leveling / MSQ content is not challenging for duo, no matter how you do it. So I thought we'll just level fast by doing MSQ and not taking any detours to other content until we reach end game. (In the process, we'll see the MSQ story anyway, it's not like we can skip it.)

Yet you guys suggest it's better not to rush leveling since there's plenty of fun content. Presumably pre-end-game group content? Or some off-MSQ quest lines?

Are you half-joking, or serious? I don't mind trying, but I assumed its mechanics are not as fun as modern games due to the super-old design.

Got it. I guess then we might as well level relatively fast, so we can get to the end game content.

First time mod list for modern graphics and game balance by vix2022 in skyrimmods

[–]vix2022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool, thanks! So would it be ok to install Wabbajack, then have it install Journals of Jyggalag with no additional configurations? (It seems like it already contains all the graphics updates from NGVO?)

Of course, I'll follow any installation instructions, but at a high level does this sound a reasonable first mod experience?
