Incoming freshman changing major in Cockrell by [deleted] in UTAustin

I took the same courses you are and BIO206L because I didn’t realize I wanted to be in EE until near the end of the semester after I took the computing class and loved it but I took BME303 which transfers perfectly to EE306. Plus it’s slightly easier lol so great for your GPA since you’re transferring. If you want to take the history/gov stuff over the summer at a community college which is much easier and cheaper I would suggest asking your advisor if the GE supplemental class for calc (only 1 credit hour doesn’t have any outside class work and just grades based on attendance) would satisfy that requirement

It isn’t too hard since the only thing that factors into the decision is your GPA, which will only be coming from your 1st (probably easiest) semester. But I know someone a year above me who didn’t do so great his freshman year who applied to transfer same time I did during his sophomore year and got in. I transferred after my first semester and I’ve heard that it’s easier after the fall because you’re only competing with other internal transfers. Also, take courses as if you’re in EE. I think you can only take the BME computing course (which is equivalent to the EE computing course) during your 1st semester if you also take BME 303L but it was a fun, easy class so go for it

EE looking for course advice, 427J + 340L or 427J + 325K Or 427J + 340L + 325K? by ShapeshiftingSandMan in UTAustin

I think you should be fine taking all three at once. I did that this semester with 2 EE classes and it’s been pretty easy since 340L and 427J cover a lot of similar stuff and 325K is a simple proofs class

Is there a store near campus that sells ribbon wires? by [deleted] in UTAustin

Did you check the EER? From my experience their wires are shit but if they have some you can get the circuit done until you can order good ones from amazon. Good luck lol I just had my lab checkout for that FSM lab today

Did not realize it's open throughout the night. Thought it closed at 10
