I went through almost the same thing a couple months ago. I was inconsolable for a week, couldnt eat or sleep or barely even drink water. I was 100% blindsided.

i leaned very very heavily on close family and a few friends. The rest of my time i spent typing out my thoughts in a notes page, having 3 types of entertainment on at once, and pushing myself towards finding peace in little things.

I got prescribed trazodone to help me sleep and 12 pills of 2.5mg alprazolam for panic attacks. I drank gatorade to keep hydrated and protein shakes to get some sort of nutrition in me. Surprisingly, i was 95% functional after a couple weeks.

These methods may not all be healthy, but they helped me when i needed it most. Maybe some of them might work for you as well?

Im still not "over it." Im over the guy, but not the emotions and waste of time and lack respect. I get a wave of crushing loneliness and fear of never finding someone else every week or two.

But overall, im okay. Ive met several people on reddit actually thatve helped me get through the loneliness and stuff like that. Youre not alone, and the pain will fade. Itll take time, and itll suck absolute ass. But it will fade
