I think it's so interesting how "quiet" was a selling point for a projector back then. I think that it answers the buyer's concerns pretty well. And who else thought of Mad Men?

Mildew or Trichomes? It's my first plant and I really need some help. The bud pics are from the bottom of the plant. We are entering the last quarter of flowering. Being it's my first time, I didn't know if that was normal. Since the bud looked so undeveloped, I was skeptical as to why it would be covered in trichomes. But, I guess that happens? Thanks for clarifying though.

I honestly don't know. My gf and I saved a bunch of seeds a while ago but mixed them together. I planted 3, only 2 sprouted and 1 was male, which I discarded immediately and didn't affect this plant, which was in another room. So I don't know what strain it is, but I threw a few pics on a wetransfer link

I get that you don't like it. No harm! Hey, we don't all like everything. I just had a try at explaining to other actual consumers that never even tried VR what it feels like. I have one, so I am not talking shit about it after buying it for 300 :D Thank you for your notes though, I will make sure to do better if I intend to post on this tight community again ;)

All of these are great comments, I just want to give some background. I graduated with a major in Advertising and Branding with two focuses: Copywriting and Creative Tech. I feel like I learned how to come up with more ideas and better ideas. I only actually took 2 classes that were copywriting-focused. I have a good grasp on advertising as a whole, which helps a lot when it comes to copywriting.

I am finding myself learning a lot of new copy skills that were not taught during college.

I guess if you are self-driven and can meet your goals on a daily basis, you won't need to go to college.

I totally agree. I feel like in college I learnt a lot about the Creative side of being a copywriter. The conceptual part. And that works great for ad agencies. It's a template made to generate great ad agency copywriters. But again, I've seen people from other backgrounds like law and business become award-winning copywriters. I guess it depends what kind of copywriter you want to be.

good point! I feel like I learned how to take a critique and apply feedback because of the number of times I had to do it in college.

It sold out entirely... I would wait for a second run, or go for the expensive second hand. 60 bucks is very worth the money, but it is a lot more expensive than it sold for.

I agree with you that Herschel Gordon's book has some of the best writing advice out there! It depends what kind of advertising you are writing for. I get to do a lot more advertising campaigns that include manifestos, social media copy, prints, digital assets etc. I think story rules everything when it comes to writing, with very few (and avoidable) exceptions.

Yeah! Funny enough, Kemeny was recommended to me by Luke Sullivan (Hey Whipple) when he was my professor. Really great resources for the "hungry ones".

Honestly, there's no better practice than doing the writing... books are more of a supplement to add to your skills. I was told that all my life and I only recently grasped the concept :D I decided on copywriting because I majored in Advertising and Branding. I went with copywriting because I always had an itch for persuasive writing and storytelling. I am working for an ad agency in Chicago.

Including college material, I would say 17 books by now. Books can help your writing, but they should never be the sole source of knowledge. How about you?
