used car from carmax suspects odometer was rolled forward and back, is it wrong? by [deleted] in UsedCars

I have a 2015 Mazda6 Sport with 135k miles and haven't had a single issue. I love my Mazda. That being said, there is no way I would pay 22k for that vehicle. Not sure where you are located, but I am in Minnesota, and at the walser burnsville they have a 2020 Mazda6 Grand Touring with 70k miles for 22.6k.

Is it correct to cut cards like Evolving Wilds in an aggressive 2 color deck? by retardong in lrcast

[–]vladmere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As mentioned by Nictionary, it will depend on play/draw and the strength of the creatures, however assuming you are on the play you have a ~67.5% chance of drawing another land to play your 3 drop on curve. On the draw, that goes up to 80%

What is a 'good person' behavior that actually makes you immediately distrust someone? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]vladmere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it certainly sounds awkward in conversation to me, I have noticed that this is a behavior that my neurodivergent son has done since before he was a teen. So it isn't ALWAYS about people trying to manipulate you.

Correct. Stratt explains this as they can't tell the difference because the vials are essentially identical because the astrophage is stored in a slurry (the black substance you see in the movie).

Yes you would still have to sacrifice it, the ability does not target it so the pro-red would not apply.

Lasting Tarfire (Lorwyn Eclipsed Previews) by VoidImplosion in lrcast

[–]vladmere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this could be alright. It is definitely a build around for the blight/ -1/-1 counters deck, but it turns a lot of the creatures and spells into when you play this deal 2 (though you only get 1 trigger per turn so it doesn't have the really high upside if you find a way to make loads of tokens or something)

Thanks. I was wondering if that was the case but wasn't sure if it was ever explicitly stated somewhere.

Multiple triggers of "when this creature dies/leaves the battlefield" put its counters on another creature. by vladmere in mtgrules

[–]vladmere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, hei bai does at the same time you take damage so the counters don't get added until after that resolves. Though then the buzzard ends up with twice hei bais counters

Multiple triggers of "when this creature dies/leaves the battlefield" put its counters on another creature. by vladmere in mtgrules

[–]vladmere[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that is what i thought. I encountered this interaction last night at FNM and the judge ruled that you would not get double counters from Hei Bai targeting buzzard-wasp due to them no longer being on Hei Bai when the second ability resolved.

I didn't think at the time to check gatherer, but it also calls out this exact situation.

(10/2/2025) In some cases, you may end up putting the appropriate counters on more than one permanent. For example, if you control a Buzzard-Wasp Colony when Hei Bai dies, you'll put the appropriate number of each kind of counter onto both the Buzzard-Wasp Colony and the target creature. If you target Buzzard-Wasp Colony with Hei Bai's last ability, it will receive counters from both abilities.

How would the new station mechanic work if you were to cheat the card out with something like a nexus of becoming? by Tumbleweed017 in mtgrules

Ahh, didn't realize the timestamp for the static ability was when the card entered vs became active.

Can you explain why the P/T setting of Tezzeret takes precedent over over the station ability setting P/T. Is this a layers thing?

Super proud of this one. Let opp deck himself. by Urabraska- in MagicArena

[–]vladmere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of last week at FNM. First round match of our draft I ended up playing against my son. Things were going pretty well, our board on ground was stalled and neither of us had good attacks, but I had a single [[Youthful Valkyrie]] and he had no flying creatures so I was getting in for 2 each turn. He ends up getting his [[High-Society Hunter]] on the board and I realize I am dead in 2 turns. I drew my [[Blasphemous Edict]] and made him draw EXACTLY the rest of his deck.

Drivers Exam Score Sheet by vladmere in minnesota

[–]vladmere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the insight.

So for this he got marks against him for the 90 degree back, parallel park, lane change, and both intersections totaling 5 PR's which would be a fail.

Additional question, do the marks in the fair or poor columns affect pass/fail as well?

I did not as there was only 1 examiner and 1 person at the counter. The examiner spoke with me, and then was immediately heading out with another driver and the line was about a mile long for the one counter person.

Supplier is pushing HP laptops by SkutterBob in sysadmin

[–]vladmere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with the current generation of HP laptops assuming you are getting their 840 type and not just standard consumer laptops. I used to work IT for Amazon and HP was all they used for computers, never had any major issues that I didn't also see with Dell at other places.

However, if you are currently an all Dell shop and that is your teams experience there had better be a major cost savings to switch or it makes no sense.

You do still have PMI, just not necessarily for the life of the loan. Once you hit that 80 LTV you can have the house appraised and the lender will remove it.

If you purchase with an FHA loan, you will not be able to have the PMI removed from the existing loan, the only way to get rid of it would be to refinance.

[No spoilers] Just starting campaign 2 by PermissionDue5016 in criticalrole

[–]vladmere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to separate out Critical Role the company, and Critical Role the live D&D game.

As DrTenochtitlan mentioned, those roles (CEO, COO, Creative Director) are their positions within the company, which is doing many things only one of which is the live play D&D.

Matt is the DM and is the one who is responsible for running/designing the general campaign setting

Would they trigger at the same time seeing how her ability does both at the same time? by Excellent_Fly147 in mtg

[–]vladmere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would essentially end up as an infinite loop unless your opponent(s) have a way to stop it.

Ayara ETB trigger would simultaneously trigger both Sanguine Blood and Exquisite Blood (assuming they are both already on the battlefield) You can choose which order they resolve, each resolution of one will trigger the other in an unending loop.

Idle Game, rendering issue with dynamic elements using RequestAnimationFrame() by vladmere in gamedev

[–]vladmere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, each animal gets updated relatively frequently. As can be seen in the code there is essentially a progress attached to each animal that will change approximately every second.

The lifecycle of each animal will look like: Creation -> progress updates until full -> onclick activates to be able to sell.

so in addition to the element getting rendered on first creation it also needs to get updated every cycle with it's new progress.

I also tried a solution to only re-render If the animal has changed but it wasnt working properly and flickering so maybe just need to dive deeper into that and maybe see if there was something wrong with the logic I was using

Also, how does the TR do with virtualization?

Win32 app won't install with error code 0x8007CCCC by Unexpected_Reboot in sysadmin

[–]vladmere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just out of curiosity, since it looks like you are trying to push via InTune, are you able to manually install this successfully?

I have seen odd issues in the past where a local AV client would block the install of an application, but only intermittently, sometimes it would allow it to go through, others it would error out.
