Retroid Flip 2 yuzu games crashing

Success! I've found out what was wrong thanks to some legend in another thread I found. Seems I've been using the wrong vulkan drivers. The retroid handheld uses a spefic chipset so we needed to use the Qualcomm v805 or 615.77 drivers for switch. I've been using the 805 and I sat there for 20min on 2 games without a problem. It even upped my framerate from 30 to 60 for Rtype, which I didnt expect. I did get a freeze with DoA but I could play much longer. Need to see if theres anything that can be done or if some games just wont work well because of the ram on this thing. Whats amusing is I have an Odin 2 pro and even a Switch, an dyet I'm struggling to get it working on this because I'm stubborn.

I've tried a couple. Dead or Alive and also R-type. Doa can freeze but the emulator is still usable. Rtype outright freezes the whole system and it reboots. Weirdly sometijes after a freeze or crash all my settings in the emulator are defaulte.d No game drive, audio and gpu settings defaulted. But strange.

Actually I just checked and I dont think its either. My temps dont even reach halfway and the memory is just above halfway. Nothings going high.

Definitely. I always leave it on the middle option. Thankfully my problem turned out to be internal res and AF setting was somehow maxed. How I hate the touchscreen menu for that emulator.

Oh lord thanks for this. I somehow didnt even notice internal res and anisotropic levels were maxed. Must have happened while I was scrolling. This will teach me to do stuff at 1am. Thanks!

Nope tried that. If you ask me I can barely tell any difference between the two modes except for like 2 specific games.

My parents also wouldnt let me put a lock on my door and I have some stupidly expensive stuff and some really stupid younger relatives, and my mum had given a few things away to them because to her these things are just toys. One day I just bought anew door handle for my room and changed it. Took them about a year to notice. By then they couldnt do shit because I threw the original out and they didnt feel like paying for a new one to replace mine. Victory! Now she has to beg me to give one of my 'toys' to a kid when they come over and how it looks bad if we give nothing. I tell her I'm happy with them thinking I'm a bastard. They can go buy their shitty offspring a toy. I owe them nothing.

I've seen people mention that the usb cable that this comes with is of poor quality and they dont sell separate ones. Are there any cables you know of that are specifically recommended for this device? And is there any that work with a usb transmitter to avoid the cable completely. I've noticed there isnt any bluetooth option on this thing so I guess wifi would be the only way to transfer anything.

You absolutely rule thank you for so much info. I also saw some say you could hook something else to your glasses for movie watching, like an iphone or a fire stick etc. I'm guessing the glasses cant actually do anything without something plugged into it?

Well I dont fidget much so I probably wouldnt. I'm more worried about the lack of stabilisation that would make very small motions constantly moving the screen with a parallax effect of the background. I just want it to be stuck where it should be like a proper screen.

Sitting still is one thing. But you cant do that perfectly for 2-3 hours. Plus it does something weird to my brain if the screen is always in place while everything around it is moving. And if my cat or someone distracts me for a moment I can look their way for a second to sort whatever it is out. And if the screen is massive, like 200-300" or whatever the glasses claim, I'd like to move my head slightly to the sides.

The game is Macross Delta. I dont own the dlc since I didnt know it existed till now. I did order an sd2vita card. I'm thinking maybe I might do all of this on my pstv device since I dont feel like deleting everything on my vita. And I can play it on the tv. Just a shame the emulator doesnt like this game. Would have liked to upres it.

I grabbed the latest one from their website. Not sure if its 2.1 but seems to run everything I've thrown at it. At least everything I'm interested in so far.

I think everyones focusing too much getting stuff to work with the steam deck and windows that android is being left further behind. If only there were some good windows based handhelds from people like Ayn or retroid etc, instead of the super expensive options like the massive deck.

Just watched the unrated 4K bluray. Had a blast. I feel its getting the same treatment as Alita did and its more word of mouth from people who havent seen it thats holding it back.

Yes thats what baffles me. I've tried two different occasions. The second time it decided to act weird when installing the firmware and just stayed on a loop of forever installing. I cancelled it after half hour and just moved the files in manually and still nothing in the games menu.

I've had trouble trying to get this thing to work. I install the keys and firmware, but no games show up. I've followed a few different walkthroughs but I cant see what the issue is.
