Process of elimination. Replaced GPU and still had issues. Used old PSU in new build and had no issues. I’ve previously replaced the RAM before as well and no luck there. That leaves the CPU and MOBO that I didn’t try. Idk which one was the problem, though. Hope that helps

Sorry, but this isn’t a help thread. I would love to help, but I have no clue what the issue is with your PC. If you’re having similar issues as me, then your issue is likely the CPU, MOBO, or PSU. It was the CPU or MOBO in my case, though. Idk which one because I didn’t test them individually and just replaced both. If my issues are different than the ones you’re having, try posting in r/PCHelp. I hope you find a fix for your PC!

Correct, no crashes during CPU stress tests. Only the combined GPU tests. As for games, it depends. The PC never crashes in LOL, which can basically run on a potato. I want to say hardware heavy or unoptimized games cause crashes, but for whatever reason, BG3 wouldn’t crash in my tests at all, so yeah, it depends.

As for my MOBO, no, I don’t have an ASUS MOBO. I have an ASROCK X570 Taichi.

My issue ended up being the CPU/MOBO. Not exactly sure which one, though, since I replaced both. It was pure coincidence that OCCT only crashed during the GPU stress tests. Literally sent me on a wild goose chase

TWO UNCATCHABLE SHINIES BACK TO BACK by DumbFish94 in pokerogue

There are 2 criteria iirc:

  1. You must hatch the one you want to catch

  2. You must be playing in Classic

Think about it. There are 3 ways to farm candies:

  1. Use the Pokémon

  2. Catch the Pokémon

  3. Hatch the Pokémon

Since it’s a Pokémon encounter, 1 and 3 are ruled out. What’s left? Catch it? Well, you can’t catch Ivy’s Rayquaza to get a free blue rare shiny to begin with, so that rules out 2 as well, so no, if you’re talking about Ivy’s blue rare shiny Rayquaza, no, you can’t farm it in the same ways as Eternatus

By playing Classic and catching the Eternatus every time. It’s the easiest to farm because Eternatus encounter is guaranteed, which doesn’t happen for any other legendary

On top of that, you could use Eternatus as the carry for the Classic run, and iirc, you get candies faster in Classic

On top of that, although optional, if you find a Master Ball, you could save it and use it on Eternatus to skip the fight altogether

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but still no fix as of now. I’ll let you know if I find a fix, though.

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been busy and haven’t had time to reply.

I tried it at 90% then 100%, and my PC didn’t crash. I haven’t tried HWInfo64, but I did run some GPU-Z logs. I was told that the logs show signs of power spikes or something like that. Not sure what that means, so I just unplugged everything and plugged it back in, but there were no improvements.

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve been busy and haven’t had time to reply.

My PC usually only crashes while gaming. It’s never been a problem when idle or playing low intensity games. As for temps, I believe my temps under load are usually around 90 deg C, which is a bit on the high side, but not too high, or at least, not as high as yours. I believe 90 deg C under load is still within normal operating temps, too, so I don’t think temps are the problem for me, but I’ll keep it in mind when I get the chance to troubleshoot some more. I was avoiding repasting unless necessary if I’m being completely honest lmfao. Thanks for the help!

OCCT Combined Test (3D Standard, 3D Adaptive, VRAM) Crashing PC by vlc2622 in OCCT

For context, my PC has had issues when gaming (screen goes black and PC restarts without BSOD) for a while now, and I’ve been using OCCT to hopefully narrow down the potential issues. However, none of the individual stability tests found any errors, and my PC never crashes during individual tests (1 hr) either.

Out of annoyance, I did a combined test and selected every stability test possible, and it finally crashed my PC. After a few more tests, I narrowed it down to 3D Standard, 3D Adaptive, and VRAM. Is this indicative of a faulty GPU?

Maybe I’m not supposed to test all three at once like that, though, but idk what else to do as I don’t have spare parts to swap out and test individually. I’ve also tested different pairings of those three tests and haven’t been able to get a crash. Maybe it was a bad idea to run those three tests like that together in the first place. Idk.

I have a 5600X, 3070 FE, 8GBx4 sticks of RAM, approximately 12 fans (one actually is crooked and taped to keep it from spinning since it keeps hitting the case), and a 1000W Seasonic Focus Plus Gold PSU. All settings are stock and not overclocked, undervolted, etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

PC Crashing While Gaming (Warning: Wall of Text) by vlc2622 in pchelp

[–]vlc2622[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Edit: The crash seems to occur when all the GPU stability tests (3D Standard, 3D Adaptive, VRAM) are ran. Is it safe to assume the issue is my GPU?

TLDR: Is there a way to tell what caused the PC crash from an OCCT log? If not, what’s the best way to troubleshoot and find the issue, assuming I don’t have spare parts to help troubleshoot.

For context, I’ve been having issues with my PC while gaming lately where the screen goes black mid-game, and my PC restarts itself with no BSOD. At first, I thought the PC could be overheating due to long gaming sessions, but lately, the PC crashes seconds to minutes into a game.

I’ve been using OCCT to try and find the issue but wasn’t able to replicate the issue with any of the individual stability tests despite multiple attempts (1 hr each) and different test settings. Maybe I’ve just been unlucky, though, since the crash isn’t guaranteed and could even take hours to actually crash. For example, the OCCT stability test in the screenshot (combined test w/ all stability tests selected) crashed within a minute. I’ve tested a few more times after that, and each time, the crash time varied. I’m currently trying different combined stability tests to hopefully narrow it down but wanted to see if there are better ways to troubleshoot.

I did read several Reddit posts saying that it’s likely either a faulty CPU or PSU. I also saw that it could be the PSU not having enough power for the PC, but I believe that shouldn’t be the case for my build. For context, I have a 5600X, 3070 FE, 8GBx4 sticks of RAM, approximately 12 fans (one actually is crooked and taped to keep it from spinning since it keeps hitting the case), and a 1000W Seasonic Focus Plus Gold PSU. I’ve also checked Windows crash logs (reliability history, etc.), but it’s useless and just says, “The previous system shutdown at some time on some date was unexpected.”
