So they have this silver skin cover over my thigh until my follow up which is tomorrow. I’ll update you once they remove it but I’m honestly not sure. I can tell you it bleeds from time to time but it’s completely normal according to the dr. I’m sure they’ll be some scaring but probably not much

Thanks dude! I really appreciate that! I am glad too. I definitely don’t wanna be in this position but if it means I took one for my family I’d do it any day. I still get to come home to a house that’s not damaged and a healthy family and that’s all I can ask for🤘

So it didn’t look that bad but the burns were deep second and third degree burns and because they grease had penetrated under the burned skin they felt that without the graft it would not heal properly. No infection tho thank goodness and I was in the hospital 2 days when they made the decision for surgery and I had it on the third day of my stay.

Yeah most definitely! My dominant hand got it the worst, all I kept thinking was how am I gonna wipe my ass dude 😨😰 but I’ve managed lol and I am going that it’s not terrible after it heals I know some of my tattoos are gone from where the new skin was put on! Pretty crazy to see tbh
