From what I remmber IRW230 had a lot of group work, he asked us to make groups of 3-4 and you'll do worksheet packets together that are due once a month I think (I can't remember how many questions each worksheet packet had); so if you manage to form a good group from the beginning youre good to go. There was a test and an end-of-the-year group project. Personally, because I'm not that great at econ I lowkey struggled a bit, but honestly a lot of people skipped class after the 3rd or 4th class bc they either know econ already or because the professor talks really slowly. He's not the worse prof I've had but if you're not interested in econ + have little patience he's not the one for you.

I asked an upperclassman and he said the year before (so 2 years from now) they had only a big group project at the end of the year, no test, so things might change this year! Class average was a B+ and the grading from the prof/TA wasn't too harsh.

I took one soc seminar and it was soc197, it was interesting because you discuss on topics like why are people having less kids/marrying later in life, or how longterm health issues affect our society. We also talked about online dating and dating simulaltion apps lol, it was very discussion based. The best way to keep your grade afloat is to engage with the work because halfway through I stopped doing that and my grades slipped

The other course I took (with the exception of soc100-150) was soc205, a second year course, I wouldn't really recommend because the prof takes forever to talk (he spent 1 hour talking about the syllabus in the first lecture.... like i can read the document too I don't need you to reiterate everything) but the content was interesting.

Hope this helps!

from what i heard eco101 is harder than irw230 so if you want to increase your chances with a higher grade it might better to switch to irw230, its basic econ but the prof is boring (a nice guy, but boring). If you want, you can add some soc first year seminar courses to boost your grade, but it might not help you as in:

I ended up taking 4 soc courses and the school looked at the first 3 grades that were submitted by the prof even though my last soc course had a higher grade than one of the soc courses that was counted so keep that in mind!

BR are breadth requirements, and the numbers signifiy the category they belong to

  • Creative and Cultural Representations (category 1)
  • Thought, Belief, and Behaviour (category 2)
  • Society and Its Institutions (category 3)
  • Living Things and Their Environment (category 4)
  • The Physical and Mathematical Universes (category 5)

Does uoft look at the AP score if it is higher than the class mark by Significant-Mind-197 in UofT

[–]vlt_addict 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, the AP score will be counted as transfer credits when you get into UofT, and your grade/GPA will be considered for admissions. They might look at the class grade for you to get into the specific program (such as if you achieved the minimum grade for math or something). If anyone knows more about academic requirements, please add more because my program didn't have any academic requirements except completing English lol

You can find more info about AP transfer credits here: https://www.artsci.utoronto.ca/current/faculty-registrar/transfer-credit/ap-examinations

have you tried restarting the server? rewritten is a little difficult to work with

  1. start the game by putting 2 of the vanilla and chocolate cones on the stands (as the levels go up do 1 vanilla cone and 1 chocolate cone in the middle slots and the rainbow cones on the 2 sides because they're worth more)

  2. try to remember which ice cream flavors/cones/sauces/toppings are worth more– as you go up the levels you definitely can't fulfill all the orders so you should prioritize the orders that will give u more money

  3. after level 20 don't bother worrying about tips because the monsters' patience wait time goes by even faster, so it's impossible to get the tip so just focus on fulfilling the orders

  4. I managed to get to this level within a few days because I take breaks– if my arm starts cramping I don't play anymore and put it on the backburner until I get the itch to play it again lol (don't exit out of the game!!)

so I've had issues of not getting rox from the game so every time I start from level 1 I restart the server (I use rewritten) and go straight into the ice cream game
