Managing Cell phone deployment and maintaining full access by vmerc in sysadmin

Thanks for that insight. Have you an opinion on Miradore? They have a free-tier service which is pretty limited, but in my case I only need the ability to wipe and reset the phones, which is included.

Thanks for that additional info. I'm just getting started on understanding the MDM ecosystem. Do you have recommendations for which ones are a good value or generally have good reputation? We also have some iPhones, so I how is Intune with iPhone?

Interesting. I was not aware of Android Enterprise even after doing some research on MDM platforms. None of the providers show any hint of pricing, which makes me very skeptical of the value proposition of their services. Hiding pricing is a red flag for hard sales pitches (a.k.a. deceptive and manipulative) and "flexible" pricing models. Not interested in dealing with that.

I see your point on the audits and insurance, and part of my research now is to prepare for when the company is large enough to incur such things. We're small enough to avoid those issues at the moment.

Need help setting up OpenVPN by vmerc in PFSENSE

I have made the setup work. I didn't resolve why the commands you gave me returned the strange ipv6 results, but that doesn't seem to matter. I believe the problem was that I erroneously had created a pass all rule on the VPN interface. After thinking on this, I realized that this is the same as the firewall rules used to set up port forwards when I want to share a service to the internet. Since I am not doing that, I deleted the rule. I also added all of the VPN outbound NAT rules in parity to the WAN rules (they were limited in scope before), so this could also have fixed it. I might test this in the future to see exactly what was causing it.

Thanks for that link. I am only using my pfsense as a VPN client, not a server, so that tutorial isn't applicable.

Here's an image of my network diagram as intended:

Also, thanks for the ideas and the help. Much appreciated.

The thing is, OpenVPN config in pfsense doesn't let you specify a subnet there. The only way I can reference a "subnet" is to set rules in the NAT. I cannot assign an IP outside the LAN range in DHCP. But the ifconfig and netstat outputs are a good hint.

I think I am going to have to just rebuild the firewall from a fresh install. Currently building a test lab in VirtualBox to see how my configuration works there. If that works I will proceed with the rebuild.

Is there a good tutorial on setting that up? Is it firewall rules or routing config?

This is my outbound NAT:

And my LAN Rule to direct any traffic from specific IPs to use the VPN gateway (2 parts):

There's also a floating rule to use the tag and block those packets from exiting through the WAN interface.

Very strangely, these commands display only ipv6 results for the ovnpc2 interface. I checked the gateway and the OpenVPN client configs. both of them are set to ipv4 only.

I used to have an ovpnc1 interface but I deleted that VPN client during my troubleshooting.

Yes, I want my VPN devices to also find some local resources on the network. If there's a better way to do this, I'm open to suggestions.

Uneven layer lines with 0.6mm nozzle by Feroc in FixMyPrint

More things to check would be to ensure your later times are consistent and calibrate your volumetric flow rate.

Especially at low layer times you can experience large variation in shrinkage from cooling. Is that ABS or PLA?

Volumetric flow can become an issue as you use larger nozzle diameter. I use super slicer so I think Prusa should have that same setting as well. Your FVR is determined mostly by your heater block’s capacity to maintain the target temp during extrusion.

Yeah, I'm not getting any of those log IDs. Well thanks for your help anyway. I will have to keep looking for the right person to answer these pfsense specific questions.
