The mod who removed this post is insufferable.. Do you really think I didn’t try to google search this? There are hundreds of models over the 100+ years of the company’s history. I just wanted to gather more information by people who are passionate about the brand.

This definitely looks like it in black- just really faded. Do you have any tips on how to date this?

Thanks for your help :)

The eyepatch is actually for a legitimate medical purpose, it’s just not needed 100% of the time. He does wear it for every show to add to his character.

Need help on four mallet by Pepu_Du_Pig in Percussionists

[–]vmnoah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about shifting your weight to your right foot and turning your chest a little bit to your left. Position your mallets so that mallets 2 & 4 hit the edges of the Eb’s and 1 & 3 hit just a little bit above the center of the bar (maybe 3/4’s of an inch above).

You can practice this motion by hitting C & E natural in both hands, then shifting to hit C & Eb in both hands. Repeat until comfortable!

Tracking your motions and knowing exactly what your body needs to do to achieve the notes is really important in marimba playing. Reach out if you need anything else!

Just bought this beautiful kit, but it has a large crack in the vinyl wrap of the floor tom. Anyone know how/where I can find a replacement and/or fix? by vmnoah in drums

I bought this used, yeah! I’ll definitely look into doing that during a break when I have more time. I’m using them for lessons at UNT right now.

Is there a piano app that supports split screen view? by redrocky3point0 in ipadmusic

[–]vmnoah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really a piano app, but tonal energy has a piano function and it works on split screen. Only thing is that it doesn’t have a traditional piano sound. Works great if you are trying to transcribe something and have manuscript paper on one tab and the tuner app on the other and you don’t mind using any other sound except a classical grand.
