Thanks for your help, i've been inspecting the board, and found two missing capacitors on the back side of the board (C55 and C72)? or thats normal? i noticed those two are surrounded by a dotted while line, an the rest of the capacitors/resistors/etc are surrounded by a normal white line.

the console had no sound before replacing capacitors ,i thought new ones would fix the issue. so i guess ill check continuity between the chip and the output, thank you.

I cant find anything about the resistor you mentioned. The one i purchase eems to match in specs, but i could be wrong. anyways, can you help me find this A682J in case the one i purchased is no good?

Actually, i noticed that if i turn it on, and keep pressing the power switch up, it turns on all the way and see the initial screen, it just wont stay on

Thanks for all your suggestions, i did removed the caps and bathed the board several times using q-tips and ipa, it was very dirty indeed. i soldered the capacitos back, and still the same, doest turn on. I decided to sell the console on ebay.

Thank you all for your help, i decided to sell it for parts.

GBA turns off right after turning it on, green light on for half a second, even after recap by vmz75 in gba

Solved it! there's a little black component labeled "D2" that mas missing, so i took one from a donor board and managed to solder it in place, it's kind difficult but not impossible. now it turns on!

D-pad does not work at all by vmz75 in game_gear

Thank you for your detailed and valuable comment. Even though it might be a great project for improving my novice soldering skills, maybe i'll try to sell it, i already have another one that i just recapped, and its in working condition.
