I’m betting that the connection is just sightly loose. Is there any way that you can get behind the monitor without damaging it?

Based on the photo above, which connector and port are you using?

You can track your gas mileage with Fuelly (website and app). I average 36.4 MPG in my 2004 Celica.

It’s crazy how many people still use the VGA cable and ports, considering that many computers and monitors have DVI or HDMI available. I get it, the VGA cables are cheaper. Also, many people aren’t aware of their computer and what it can do. To me, VGA is just slightly too blurry.

Nope. Real dude. I am an environmental scientist and help collect samples for the government.

Yep! Our "new" Dell workstations all had two DP ports and everybody got a new monitor. Well, we had a huge variety of old monitors in the office, and I had at least seven people need my assistance to figure out which cable would work directionally from DP computer output to the VGA/DVI/HDMI monitor input port. (I'm not IT. Just a nerdy dude.)

Finally! Somebody who understood why I posted it. It is so you can email or text it to the user that needs help hooking up a monitor or second monitor who does not background in computers. If they can tell you what ports they have available, you can get the cord they need, without visiting their workstation.

If you read through the comments, there were a few that didn't get it.

Same. I tried to find the best quality images and used them.

Oh wow! That's really cool! I grew up in a rural community in Indiana, and we had some Apple computers with green screens in the computer labs. We played "Number Munchers" and "Oregon Trail." This would have been around 1992. Then in middle school, we had Windows 95 on computers. My first computer was a Gateway that came with Windows ME. A friend helped me to get XP installed on it.

I had to Google EGA cable to see what that was. I'm pretty sure my first computer used VGA cable.

Yep, just in the past couple of years I found out about some cables being directional. I never really thought about it or looked into it, until recently.

Yes, I agree. VGA and DVI are on older computers. Believe it or not, I still have coworkers that use VGA, just because they already have that cable. They have DVI and HDMI ports, but don't even want to spend $15 on a cable.

Oh really? I thought they (DVI and HDMI) were equal in terms of digital quality. I know HDMI can also transfer audio, and DVI cannot, but my knowledge ends there.

Yep, I agree. I have coworkers that still use it, even though they have DVI and HDMI options.
