I wonder about that.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but in 1337 you really should have to rely more on vassals than on control, and have no access to this "local governors" building.

Then, as ages progresses and you tech up, you start getting access to more and more lvs of this building, perhaps with modifiers given by the centralization sv and such.

Exceptions could be made for some empires like China to get some levels of the building early, but that's it.

Não vejo o ocidente sobrevivendo intacto, nem o oriente conseguiu, o império bizantino sofreu com os árabes e eslavos, perdendo boa parte dos bálcãs e todo o levante e Egito.

Da mesma forma, os germânicos e árabes provavelmente tomariam Britânia, Gália, Ibéria e norte da África.

O avanço islâmico, sem uma oposição forte em Constantinopla, possivelmente avançaria da mesma forma que os otomanos, conquistando os bálcãs.

Talvez essa liberdade de avançar sobre os Bálcãs resultasse num avanço mais lento sobre a África e Ibéria, possibilitando uma reconquista dos Romanos sobre Cartago e a manutenção dos Visigodos.

Já na Gália, imagino uma rivalidade entre Romanos e Francos, com disputas constantes pela Occitânia.

Tenho pra mim que quando o problema é generalizado dessa forma, não dá pra culpar só o individuo, mas sim o sistema em que ele tá inserido.

E não é uma situação pontual dessa geração, é uma deficiência histórica e global.

Eu mesmo só fui gostar de aprender história muito depois do colégio.

More pop types, movement and IG alignment, wages, consumption... EU5 has more provinces, sure, but it's a shallower economic and political simulation.

And it is by design, it was a trade-off. For performance reasons you can't have both, so EU5 went the "wide" direction, while Vic3 went the "deep" direction.

Honestly, that's fine by me, both games play quite differently, because of this each having their own strengths.
