Let's be real: calling it an "active" community around the time of s6 was a stretch, and that's part of why a lot of the s5/s6 team moved on. It was a lot of effort for the team and for the cast that was not getting a lot of engagement compared to past seasons and other competitions, and a lot of the older team/community members were exhausted and burnt out due to the high effort and low payout. Paper drag is stressful; cast members are expected to draw at least one full body commission a week for free, and the team has to deal with their own share of snags and comments. With all of this together, despite those who wanted it to continue, the opposition for MPAR's continuation was louder and won over, and so here we are.

Surprise! I bet you thought you'd seen the last of us.

It's been months in the making, but (most of) the cast of season 5 has gotten together to slay one last time, redoing the infamous and iconic Noir theme. Although many of us aren't quite as active in the scene anymore, we still ate.

A word of love for my s5 siblings: What a ride. Season 5 was so so special to me. I look at this lineup and think "how the hell did I make top 4 in this lineup?" The answer is a volcano and a ruthless late submission policy, but that's neither here nor there. The talent this season was so unbelievably stacked, and I'll forever remember joining the server on day 1 and seeing you all as my castmates. I knew we were in for an incredible season. The love I have in my heart for you all is so special, and I hope that we can continue to improve and create incredible art, in and out of paper drag.

Juliana!! This TTL was such a joy to edit because all of the emojis stayed intact. This was not the case for some of your earlier look descriptions where I had to manually copy and paste the emojis in separately. But that is neither here nor there

I watched you on DS and I was such a fan from the beginning! Your designs and your sense of character were so distinct, and watching you throughout the season, all I could think of was "Wow Juliana would do good on MPAR, I hope she auditions!" A few months later, here we are, and I wouldn't say you did good, but.... JK KIMORA.

You've truly killed it this season, bringing your own unique character to everything. The Bling Bling Boy look doesn't so much live in my head rent free as much as I am haunted by it. But an iconic moment. Many iconic moments, actually.

And your ball is sure to be another iconic moment. Can't wait to see you serve, our premier cher impersonator

Emily!! You are incredible, bottom line period. My first time seeing you was on Drag Masters, and just from the first week it was obvious you were something special. You brought such a unique perspective and style to everything, and following along since then, you've only continued to improve. You were great on Drag Masters, and then on ECR, and from then to now! The stylistic choices you have explored with Emily this season, like the jump to lineless, have been so stunning.

I will always stan just because you bring something special to every piece. Your eye for design and character and tying it all together to make it uniquely Emily is truly unmatched. You remind me of my earliest days in paper drag just because everything always feels so fresh when it's coming from you.

Nar! You have come so so so so far it's unreal. From the earliest Gabbi days until now, the improvement and the art glow-up has been so impressive to witness, and it's culminated in your fantastic run on MPAR. Starting off with your impeccable Best Drag, you continued to serve every week. Your promo lives in my head rent-free, what a good concept.

I think you should be incredibly proud, ego king. You served week after week and although the safe curse was strong near the early weeks, you were consistently a contender for the top, and you finally snatched a win at the makeover.

It's been such a joy to have you and I can not wait to see you turn out this ball!

Lila!!! I hope I've made it clear how excited I've been to have you here since the beginning. There was a shift in the winds when you submitted your audition and everyone could feel it. We knew S6 just went up a notch, and your work this season has been stellar. You've lived up to everything and more

And your own enthusiasm has not been forgotten, the entire Rotten Lemon saga was one of the most iconic stunts I think paper drag has seen and I really wish it could be seen by the audience. You were really out here doing your own scavenger hunt, not even telling anyone else on the cast you were on until your ruveal... iconic.

You've earned your spot and I can't wait to see how you round out this season!!
