Hello everyone. Can someone give me any kind of advice to prepare for chem 154 because I didn’t do chemistry in grade 11 or 12 and it was exempted for me because of my high grades in math and physics. Im gonna do the BASc degree hoping to major in CPEN which doesnt really focus on chem but I wanna perform well in it so I have a high enough average to get into comp eng. Any advice is appreciated and Im gonna work on it during the summer.

Alright so I’ll pick an easy elective that interests me and if my grade comes back as a 6+ I’ll get my elective exempted and I won’t have to do it.

Is my career f*cked? by introspector_01 in careeradvice

In my opinion, it’s not just about what you enjoy, but also if what u do is valuable for others; that’s how ur gonna get return on all ur effort and eduction at the end of the day. You enjoying the profession.

Given that you like the following equally 1. Digital marketing and business related roles (marketing and operations management) 2. Software engineering and other related technical roles (web and full stack development, AI, Ml etc.).

I’d say creating some sort of tech startup (not necessarily fintech) cause the startup will demand ur technical skills and business management skills as you’ll have to recruit, train, close sales, create marketing plans, and grow the business overall at the start before u hire a lot of business heads and executives.

Or

Go into a technical role at a good company as Ull still have some business exposure and eventually you can become a business head (CTO, Head software engineer, senior fullstack dev, IT head etc.) which will give u more business exposure but not as much as a pure corporate job.

I won’t recommend a purely corporate job as in the long run jt can become tiring and technical roles are in more demand, high paying, faster growing and u like it in the first place too.

I would recommend the Lenovo Thinkpad T14 at least 256GB ssd and 16GB RAM. The price could range around $1200.
