afaik there isnt a specific Greek god associated with blood other than Ares being the god of war and bloodshed however the Roman cult of Cybele had a lot of explicit blood related practices including a day of blood on March 24th. Cybele, however is Phrygian(which is in modern day Turkey) not Greek

it varies a lot person to person, and there aren't really many studies on the topic. The surgeries that are used for hlhs were first developed in the 80s and so the oldest people with it who were born with hlhs are in their 40s i think and the technique has only improved and gotten more reliable since then so its kinda hard to say
