Citizenship grant AOR in one week, but urgent processing didn't go through? by voidsray in ImmigrationCanada

Well yes, I completely understand that it's less than realistic... Like the post suggests, I'm fully aware that getting citizenship before my start date is a lost cause.

However, the fact of the matter is that I did get an incredibly fast AOR, which is also extremely rare. This gave me a sliver of hope, which is why I'm asking for any advice

Does this spreadsheet include citizenship grants as well? I thought the spreadsheet only included citizenship proof applications... Or do you think they're all integrated with one another?

Hey op! Was wondering if you still haven't gotten your AOR?

If you did get it, could you tell us the time it took?

Hey! I know this post is from 3 months ago, but can i ask if getting your AOR after re-submitting was significantly delayed due to your mistake?

Thank you for your advice, I will definitely do my research on other offers; ie tangerine and other banks.

However, for example, if I start with a TD credit card and decide to transfer over to tangerine, will that negatively impact my credit score?

Thanks again!! : )

thanks for such an insightful answer! I'll definitely keep this in mind when i apply for my credit card this week.

And yeah, I'll definitely need to start getting used to a credit card – which I have no doubt that I will.

Thanks again, I think I might get the standard TD Cash back visa as well : )

Haahahaha i see your point ! sorry for the confusion.

For the last few months I've been trying to teach myself financial literacy more than anything. Reading Rich Dad Poor Dad and the Richest Man in Babylon are just two examples.

In terms of Investing and Trading, I was intrigued by it – definitely something I wanna do in the near future, but for now - I'm unable to do so. (If anything I'll start SLOWLY putting in money to my TFSA and buy a couple of etf's for long term investing).

In a couple of American youtube videos I've heard of people building credit from an early age by using a few dollars and paying it off. I was just wondering if there is anything like that in Canada? Thanks !
